The show focuses on high schools that hold yo-yo contests. The schools organize teams and participate in competitions to win against other schools. Each team has their own issues that they solve, and each yo-yo has a name that reflects the toy's design. The show makes use of minor special effects in order to portray the "magic" and the speed of the yo-yo. These magic spells are 'battling' and the person whose magic remains wins. Some of the yo-yo tricks are common, like the Forward Pass, Loop-the-Loop, Three-Leaf-Clover, Trapeze, Double or Nothing, Gravity Pull, etc. The show also has some tricks of its own created by the producers (most of the tricks are for professionals) like the White Buddha, Buddha's Revenge and the Cold Fusion (hardest trick of Season One).

Hailing from a lower middle-class family, Umeed is a young and innocent girl who shares a strong and loving bond with her mother, Zainab. Things come crashing down for the family when Saleem (Umeed's father) falls into the trap of stereotyping his own family due to financial hardships. With her marriage at stake and a daughter to take care of, Zainab stands up for herself and struggles to ward off the stigma around divorce. However, society's cruel remarks hold her back. The story follows struggle of Zainab and her daughter, Umeed as they face hardships in their lives.

Marzi revolves around a young girl, Manaal (Rabab Hashim) as she struggles with her unrequited love for Zain (Junaid Khan). Belonging to a middle class family, Manaal and her mother are dependent on her sister Afeera (Jana Malik) who is married to Irfan (Babar Ali), an influential businessman. Irfan’s dominating and demeaning behaviour, makes him the sole patriarch of his family. While on the other hand, Zain is a radio jockey and a singer in Irfan’s FM company. After a couple of meetings, Manaal falls in love with Zain while Zain remains sceptical about his feelings. Upon knowing about Manaal’s family background, Zain steps back as he fears getting involved with Irfan’s family. Irfan's vicious planning against Zain and Manaal makes him put Zain under fake kidnapping charges of Manaal. Manaal being reckless and rebellious at heart asks Zain to fight for themselves.

Han Ruo Fei obtains a time traveling polaroid that enables him to go back to 10 years ago on short periods of time. He attempts to revive his dead celebrity wife and find the mastermind of the conspiracy plotted against him 10 years ago.

However, this drama dates back to the time where Iemitsu, the third shogun, was in power, and this story could be considered as “episode zero.” This drama will dramatically portray the schemes, jealousy, and the pure love that emerge at the Edo castle, with the mystery of “how the sex role-reversed ooku came to be?” as the backing plot. ~ TBS

Set in the Ming Dynasty, Dragon Strikes follows swordsman Xiao Yiu Hau and the dangerous power struggle and tangle of corruption and conspiracies he encounters in the royal court and the martial arts world. The power struggle is evident both in the palace as well as in the martial arts world. This series focused on that of the 3 big clans with the Siu Yiu clan, Pai Ling clan, and the South Gate clan. Rivalry and politics of the palace mixed with the martial arts world make this a martial arts extravaganza!
