Because of unforseen circumstances involving the deteriorating health of Kuraki Medical Center’s owner, his younger brother Kuraki Hiromasa (Osugi Ren) takes over the hospital. His first change to the hospital will be to create a nurse’s aide training course. He gives this task to hot shot doctor Mori Takeru (Ozawa Yukiyoshi). On top of this surprising news, Kuraki then informs Mori that he will also have to take the course! Flustered, Mori proclaims that he is a doctor and has no need to take such a course. Kuraki tells him that a complete overall is needed to change the hospital and learning from the bottom up will help even the doctors. Around the time the atmosphere in the world is filled with cheer in preparation for Christmas, there are people completely detached from the gaiety with which Christmas Eve is eagerly anticipated. Some 20 days to Christmas, Daiwa Shunsuke and Orihara Shuko, a former couple who work at a children’s apparel company, learns that it will cease business at Christmas. With even its adjoining after-school care centre being shut down, Shuko decides to return to Niigata. Tadokoro Kohei, an elementary school boy who goes to the centre, is distressed by his parents. They are close to divorce and he wants to do something. He asks with Shuko to go with him to the Yokohama osteopathic clinic where his father works, but encounters debt-collecting gangsters over there. These gangsters are kindhearted small-timers who have descended into the underworld business although not by choice. The three groups seek love, get betrayed and have troubles. Even so, they struggle hard in their attempt to take a step out. Will the former couple be able to convey the love they have for each other? Can the boy prevent the divorce of his parents and protect his family? Will the small-time gangsters be able to hold on to love and tread the respectable path? These three groups somehow get entangled in this story with laughter and tears. Will Christmas miracles happen?

Hirosawa Nodoka, a freelance journalist for a weekly magazine, gets close to Fuyuko, the wife of Asakura Shuji, the young director of a cosmetic surgery clinic, in an attempt at undercover investigation to expose the clinic’s misdeeds. However, the flight that she had boarded in pursuit of Fuyuko crashes in an accident. Misidentified as Fuyuko, Nodoka is saved and given her face through plastic surgery. She lives with the belief that she is his wife as a result of memory loss triggered by the shock of the accident. By the time she regains her memory, she has already fallen in love with the man who is another woman’s husband. Can she live like this for the sake of love or will she expose the misdeeds and return to her former life?

The story revolves around Take Seiji, who quits his job after three months. With no dreams, no savings, and a poor relationship with his family, he becomes a hikikomori. However, after his mother falls ill with depression, he ends up having to take on a part-time job at a construction site. Because of that, he soon decides to work towards rebuilding his life: "Even though I'm just a freeter, I'm going to buy a house for the sake of my family." One of the people he meets at the construction site is Chiba Manami, who graduated from a top-class university and joined a well-known general contracting firm. Manami is the complete opposite of Seiji. But while their personalities clash at first, they gradually come to understand each other.

The supporting cast lineup of FujiTV Winter 2017 drama "Daibinbou" starring Koyuki has been announced. The human comedy drama which is an original story and begins its run from 8 January 2017 in the Sundays 9pm timeslot, features Koyuki as a single mother Nanakusa Yuzuko who struggles against the irrationalities regarding money, power and love happening around her while Ito Atsushi plays her "buddy" Kakihara Shinichi who is an elite lawyer. Narita Ryo will play Kase Haruki, a capable salesman who has been working for three years in the human resources company Dimensions Of Humanity (DOH) which is also where Yuzuko works at. Despite being young, Kase is street-smart and knows about the dark sides of human nature. He joins forces with Yuzuko and Kakihara to find out the truth behind DOH's bankruptcy. Johnny's WEST member Kamiyama Tomohiro plays a newbie lawyer Kogure Yuuto who works at Kakihara's law firm and is hardworking and serious. His interaction with Kakihara will provide comedic relief in the story. Takito Kenichi will play DOH's accounting department's manager Asaoka Reiji who is quiet and even uses honoriffics with his subordinates thus has the reputation of being a gentleman in the company. He knows everything about the company since it was established and has an unknown side to others. Okuda Eiji plays Tenma Toshiaki who is the president of DOH and is the benefactor of Yuzuko since he was the one who made it easier for her to work, given her single mother status. However, with the declaration of DOH's bankruptcy which is due to an incident, he becomes despondent about life.
