Set during the Republican era, the story tells of a young girl by the name of Du Chun Xiao. A smart young girl who uses her strange but unique ability to deduct clues and solve mysteries through the use of tarot cards. However, one day she decides to return to Jiangnan with her friend Huang Meng Ching. As the Huang family accepts Chun Xiao as one of their own Mr Huang proposes the idea of marriage between his son Mo Ru, and Chun Xiao. Though she is not particularly attracted to Mo Ru, she continues to live with the Huang's until strange things begin to occur, that endanger her life. It is during her difficult times, that she notices Huang Mu Yun, the youngest son of the Huang's. As the two discover their feelings for each other, secrets regarding Chun Xiao's true identity, as well as the darker nature of Mr Huang's past deeds are unraveled.

Pi has a crush on one of the hottest students in the Allied Health Sciences Department but since he is not confident enough about his looks, he is helpless. At least until Duean and his friends help him get a makeover to boost his confidence. When Pi finally has the guts to approach his crush, he meets his love rival, Mork.

Pi tries to surpass Mork in everything to get the attention of Nan but he is not lucky enough to beat him. However, everything changes as Pi starts to feel a different set of feelings towards Mork, making things more complicated.

The story takes place during the reign of the Ryukyu Kingdom (19th Century). Nakama plays Mazuru, a young woman who wants to complete her studies despite her gender restrictions, so she takes advantage of the disappearance of her step brother and disguises herself as an Eunuch named Son Neion, and passes the exam to be a royal govenrment's official. This is her first time having to play both a male and female character. Her supporting cast includes Tanihara Shosuke as her lover and Takaoka Saki as her enemy.
