    The 38th NHK Taiga Drama is Genroku Ryoran. The "Forty-seven Loyal Samurai" is one of the most enduring and best loved stories of Japan's history. Generations have grown up hearing the stirring tale of Oishi Kuranosuke, chief councillor of the Ako clan who leads his men through suffering and hardship to ultimately avenge their lord after he is unjustly forced to commit harakiri. NHK's 38th Taiga Drama "Genroku Ryoran" is the ambitious remake of this classic epic and boasts a cast that reads like a Who's Who in Japanese entertainment.

Deep in his heart he has never forgotten his first love, Chae-Hee who is now engaged to his highschool senior. Thus, he never quite pays attention to the cute Won-Young working in the same office. Won-Young promises herself not give up her dreams - love for Hyun-Woo and her ambition to eventually become an announcer on TV. In times of lonliness and anger she climbs up to the rooftop of her office building and shouts on the top of her voice. This is a drama viewing young people's lifestyle, goals in life and their innocence and purity in love.

These series follows the manga comics very closely so anyone who has read them will enjoy these shows. Starring Yorozuya Nakamura as Ôgami Ittô the Shogun's executioner, who was disgraced by false accusations from the Yagyû clan and has been forced to take the path of the assassin.

In every episode, Ninzaburo Furuhata will introduce a different criminal in his memory, and share his experience tracking and interacting with these criminals.

They're all rich and Phuree is the heir of P. Paul's shoe brand.

    Their relationship started as Phuree wanted to show that Prim and her buddies were deceivers, so the guys also lied about who they really are to get closer to the girls and lure them into confessing. But after spending so much time together, Phuree and Prim fell in love.

    Though they confessed that they loved each other, things didn't ended up. As Prim found out Phuree's real identity and that he already had a fiancee.

    39-year-old Ogata Satoko is a highly capable psychiatrist who is single. She's forthright, a caring older sister and reliable in her job and in private. Her interests are staying in luxurious Japanese inns and watching stand-up comedy videos.

    Satoko hasn't had a boyfriend in the past five years. Nevertheless, she derives satisfaction from work and isn't worried about her finances. Among her good friends that she hangs out with are 35-year-old Morimura Nao, her junior who proclaims that she won't marry, and 39-year-old Oikawa Sadao, her peer since high school. Satoko is happily enjoying the single life.

    At an alumni reunion as everyone is on the verge of 40, Takeuchi Mizue, her good friend since high school who is now a full-time housewife, rushes Satoko into action. "If you want children, you should marry now" and "It's women's happiness", but both are lost on Satoko, who isn't convinced.

    One day, Satoko attempts to cheer up Nao, who is downcast over a shocking incident, and goes to her favourite hot-spring inn. There she coincidentally encounters a breakup between a handsome but somewhat odd man, Okamura Keitaro, and his girlfriend.
