The drama is a comedic depiction of the lives of eunuchs after the fall of the Qing dynasty and their eviction from the Forbidden City by the last Emperor of China, Puyi.

The story focuses on 26-year-old Rika (Ueto), a single editor who is unskilled in love. The story starts when a man (Uchino) appears before her, telling her that he is her husband from 10 years in the future. He informs her that she will meet the young version of himself in a few days, but begs her not to marry him.

Yoon Hee Yeol dreams of being a singer. Yoo Eun Ho is an aspiring writer. These college students and their friends try to find the way towards their dreams.

Narumi is a remote and peaceful island (modeled after the real-life island of Hateruma) that has much more need for a doctor than for police. But one day, Shirase Ryo, a policeman gets assigned there, to the disappointment of the residents. However, as he gradually becomes friends with the people living there, he begins to help them address their own problems and concerns for the future of the island.

Summer 2011: Zhao Zi Hui is in a passionate relationship with her boss Yan Ruo Qiu. Suddenly, her grandma who’s living in Dongbei falls ill and comes to Shanghai to get hospitalized. At the same time, Yan Ruo Qiu’s ex-wife comes back because she wants to have her former husband back. During these tumultuous times, Zi Hui meets Xu Tian in the hospital who suggests her to join hands and open a restaurant together. At first, Zi Hui takes it as a joke, but she slowly starts to see his seriousness and braveness and ends up really opening a restaurant with him. Not only do these two work close together from now on, but their hearts slowly get closer as well
