Set in the late Yuan Dynasty, the story revolves around a pair of priceless and extremely powerful weapons, known respectively as the Heaven-reliant Sword (倚天劍) and Dragon-slaying Saber (屠龍刀), which many pugilists covet. Either or both of them are thought to allow their wielder to rule the wulin (martial artists' community). The Story follows a Zhang Wuxi as he travels throughout the pugilistic world, meeting trouble and dangerous ladies along the way.

The plot of “Dao Jarut Fah” centers around two feuding likay (folk opera) bands: Sao Noi Phet Baan Paeng and the Nu Paan Wiset Sin. Dao and Fah are two sisters from the “Sao Noi Phet Baan Paeng” likay band, their father Ken is the owner. One day, Ken collapses on stage and falls ill. He was overwhelmed by the fact that his shows were being sabotaged by Busaba, owner of the “Nu Paan Wiset Sin” band. Busaba hired men to cause havoc and lure audiences away from the “Sao Noi Phet Baan Paeng” shows. After shortly falling ill, Ken dies. Dao blames Busaba and her band for her father’s death and decides to go undercover to get revenge. She auditioned to be the new singer for the “Nu Paan Wiset Sin” band. Dao impressed them with her lovely voice and they gave her the leading nang’ek role. During her 1 month stay with the “Nu Paan Wiset Sin” band, Dao falls in love with Pon, the band’s leader. They develop a close relationship. For that 1 month, Dao trains hard in singing and acting for the “Nu Paan Wiset Sin” band. Then comes the likay competition night, Dao ditches the “Nu Paan Wiset Sin” band, leaving them without a singer and sings for her band, the “Sao Noi Phet Baan Paeng”. Pon is devastated when he learns the truth. Before the competiton, he confessed his love for her. Pon starts seeing Fah, Dao’s older sister to hurt Dao for deceiving him and his bandmates. After the competition, Dao and Pon became enemies.

At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, when Mongolia ruled over all the Chinese Continent, the Mongols, the Hans, and Koryo (ancient Korea) migrants were engaged in racial conflict. The son of a Koryo migrant, Jinha, and the illegitimate daughter of a Mongol general, Sullie, become true friends and eventually fall in love. However, the love and loyalty between them cannot last. At the end of their wedding the sheriff is killed leaving Roikaew to take care of his 2 kids. Years pass and Cholchat became the new sheriff of the town. Coincidently, Roikaew's father is the leader of the town so that means Roikaew and Cholchat get to meet each other every day to help their community. Cholchat's childhood friend Supasi comes back from America to stay with Cholchat and show her undying love. As Cholchat got to know Roikaew more, he begins to fall for her which Supasi will not have. At the same time, problems erupted in the community as drugs were being used again.
