High school student Moe has moved to a new town after the death of her father. Moe’s already having enough trouble fitting into her new class as it is, so she’s totally mortified when she ends up being “rescued” by local firefighter Kyosuke during a fire drill ... in front of all the kids at school. But the embarrassing incident might be a blessing in disguise, because gruff-but-kind Kyosuke gives Moe the courage she needs to leap out of her comfort zone as she aims to leave her loner days behind. Byun Jae Wook is a short-tempered prosecutor with a propensity for violence, famous for his tough investigations and who only pursues the truth. When a suspect under his interrogation is found dead, Jae Wook is arrested, falsely accused of murder and imprisoned for 15 years .

While in jail, he plans out his revenge mission and finds the most talented criminals in the ward to help him out. Five years later, Jae Wook meets good-looking, brilliant con artist and schemer Chi Won in prison.

Feeling he could carry out his plan outside of prison, Jae Wook gets Chi Won acquitted, using his knowledge as a former prosecutor. Jae Wook’s ragtag team of ex-cons will now enact a revenge plan against the organization that framed him.

Emi Hosho (Eri Fukatsu), a not so successful lawyer, is assigned to the one of the most unusual of cases. Her client is accused of murdering his wealthy wife and he his alibi is that he was staying at an inn while suffering from "kanashibar" (sleep paralysis). The only witness able to corroborate his alibi is the 500-year-old ghost of the Sengoku period military commander Rokubei Sarashina (Toshiyuki Nishida) - who sat on the accused's chest all night long.

Attorney Emi Hosho travels to the inn to investigate further. Emi Hosho also falls into "kanashibar" and soon discovers the 500-year-ghost sitting on her chest. Knowing that the ghost is the only witness who can support her client's alibi, she grabs his hand and pleads with him to testify in court.
