A story that follows the host of a popular TV show. Because the old GM has retired, Yan Shouyi loses his biggest supporter and faces the pressures from the new GM who only cares about ratings. Television host Yan Shouyi (Wang Zhiwen) and producer Fei Mo (Chen Daoming) have been racking their brains to find a way to increase ratings for the show without sacrificing their style. In the face of corporate politics that is difficult to navigate, Yan Shouyi's love life is equally complicated. Yan Shouyi forms a unique relationship with publishing house editor Wu Yue (Yu Mingjia) while his wife Yu Wenjuan (Mei Ting) demands a divorce. Yan Shouyi also meets the cheerful dialog coach Shen Xue (Ke Lan) and they become mutually attracted to each other.

Promising film-like production values, this show tells the story of an adopted lawyer from Canada (Lee Sung Jae), a Korean singer dreaming of escaping abroad (Kim Min Jung) and her manager (Uhm Tae Woong). However, the two boys are lost brothers, and they love the same woman.

Furthermore, Hiroko is a young actress who practices acting with a drama troupe while holding a part-time job.

The two meet again and again in the park until one day, she learns that Kohji is deaf. Through their initial attraction, Hiroko begins to learn Japanese sign language in order to communicate with Kohji and as their relationship develops, several obstacles arise as well.

Butterfly Fragrance focuses on the early republican days, paying meticulous attention to the wardrobes of the period. Li Yi Feng plays a sweet, rich young master (which isn’t hard to imagine at all, if you catch my drift, those puppy eyes!), while William Chan takes on the cold, heroic, investigator. On the ladies’ side, Tang Yan embodies the spirit of a sweet, strong willed Chinese Woman, in contrast to the nobly charming young mistress of Shu Chang. Moreover, the two ladies often find their interests in conflict with each other (ha, like that’s new in dramaland.) Aside from that, the two families will battle over producing the best incenses in the area.
