A rash of murders taking place on subways at exactly 6 P.M. strikes up fear in the population of Tokyo. The mark of a serial killer is left on these seemingly random murders and a professional, Dr. Setsuko Suma, is called in to solve the case. However, she is just as baffled about the crimes and seeks the help of her ex-lover, Rei Aku (a cult deprogrammer). Things begin to tense up as Suma feels she is becoming more and more like the serial killer and as Aku tortures her with mind games.

In this exquisite melodrama imbued with national allegory, anything that can go wrong does. Kuei-mei, a poor girl from the mainland, relocates to Taiwan post-revolution and enters into a marriage of convenience with an alcoholic widower. In spite of being initially rejected by his children, she guides the family through decades of poverty and trauma to stability with unblinking, selfless perseverance. As Kuei-mei, Hui Sang Yang gives a phenomenal performance that expertly deconstructs the image of the ideal wife.

One day, Hye Sook is tricked by her mother into visiting her hometown. When she finds out that her mother is fine and tries to leave for Seoul, she hears about the passing of Taek Gyoo's father. After the funeral, Hye Sook plans to return to the city. Gi Ju, a struggling writer, tries to drown himself at Andong lake but Taek Gyoo saves him. Hye Sook used to draw for Gi Ju's writings when they were young. The two were each other's first love and through the reunion, they are about to rekindle their old romance.

Pharmaceutical student, Keiko witnesses her boyfriend having an affair. After getting into a fight with several alleyway gamblers he meets the lovely Yee-Mong (lit. trans: Beautiful Dream, but euphemistically as wet dream), a henchman for the "King of Gamblers", and becomes infatuated with her. Sing quickly becomes a rival to the King and must win his way through a world competition to prove his skill.

He accidentally finds a surfing guesthouse ‘Welcome Guesthouse’ and begs for a part-time although he has never surfed before. While he works there and learns how to surf, he picks a fight with a typical rich kid Seong Min on a lineup. They agree to settle a fight with a surfing match where the loser has to leave the sea. While Joon Geun trains with the help of Welcome Guesthouse season members, his advisor calls him and says there is a job interview on the day of the match. Joon Geun can’t make up his mind between the match and the interview and the clock is ticking.
