The drama follows the lives of a large, rich, and influential Chinese family living in British Hong Kong during the 1920′s and 30′s, a time when eastern and western cultures clashed, and women began to fight for a position in society to change the traditions of a woman always coming second behind a man. Although wealthy and renowned barrister, Chung Cheuk Man (Damian Lau) studied abroad in England and enjoyed a western lifestyle, deep down he is still a traditional Chinese man. Similar to many upper class during that era, Cheuk Man has many wives and mistresses, a symbol of his status. His first wife Koo Sum Lan (Mary Hon) was born from a wealthy family. His second wife, Aisin Gioro Yee Yin (Idy Chan) is an former princess from the Qing dynasty. His third wife, Yvonne Yik (Elena Kong) came from a rich banker family. Peking opera singer Hong Tsz Kwan (Tavia Yeung) is the fourth wife. The fifth woman in Cheuk Man’s life is Chiu Dan Dan (JJ Jia, who was only interested in living a luxurious and materialistic lifestyle.

Yen was sold to be a slave to Khun Ying, Praya Sihayotin's first wife. Praya Sihayotin had 3 wives, but none had children, so he took Yen to be his fourth wife, with the blessing of Khun Ying. Yen became pregnant, and soon after, so did Khun Ying. While Praya Sihayotin was away, they both gave birth, but Khun Ying's infant boy was stillborn, so they agreed to secretly give Yen's infant daughter to Khun Ying as her own. The third wife was jealous of Yen and caused problems for her, leading JPraya Sihayotin to strip Yen of her title, and return her to be a slave. As her daughter grows up spoiled by Khun Ying, Yen suffers as a slave.

Battle between international criminal organizations and the secret team of international police formed against these organizations. An action drama incorporating element of children's hero program and Tokusatsu, such as characters with superhuman motor nerves and the appearance of super machines. "Strada 5" is the name of this secret team.

Arisu—a listless, jobless and video-game-obsessed young man—suddenly finds himself in a strange, emptied-out version of Tokyo in which he and his friends must compete in dangerous games in order to survive. In this strange world, Arisu meets Usagi, a young woman who’s navigating the games alone. Harashima Shuichiro (Sanada Hiroyuki) is a wealthy but lonely businessman who succeeded his father's company after his death. Reputed to be cold, merciless, and corrupted in his dealings, he seeks only to expand his company and profit at the expense of others. One day, he experiences some painful seizures and decides to secretly visit a clinic. To his horror, he finds out that he has an incurable case of cancer and only has three months left to live. There, he is asked by a working-class man, Konosuke Shimodaira (Tamaki Koji) to lend him 30 cents. Unknowing of Harashima's plight, Konosuke cheerfully promises to pay Harashima back. Happy yet poor, Konosuke is the direct foil of Harashima - a man living an empty existence with money.

From this moment onwards, Konosuke invites Harashima into his world - a world without money, but brimming with compassion and friendship, alien concepts to Harashima's cold heart. Although Harashima at first resists Konosuke's attempts to become friends, he eventually gravitates towards Konosuke and his friends' warmth, even finding love in the innocent Kaori (Matsushima Nanako). However, they have no idea that Harashima is the same man who is planning to demolish their homes in order to build a business center. How will his newfound friends react, and what will Harashima do with his last remaining months left to live?

After living a beautiful romance on the campus Hyun Jun (Bae Yong Joon) and Se Young (Lee Young Ae) marry, but as the emergence of everyday difficulties the love between them begins to be shaken and finally when Young misunderstands the Hyun Jun's relationship with Hye Min ends up filing for divorce.

The second couple could be defined as: "comic love"

A love as comfortable and natural as the friendship between two people. Yong Gong is a schoolmate of Se Young besides being a doctor of a natural medicine clinic or as it is known oriental medicine. He is a widowed father and one day he goes to the pharmacy and meets Hye Won and is attracted to But it is at this point that we see the difficulties in harmonizing Eastern medicine (which is based on natural measures) and Western medicine (which is based on medicines).

And the third couple that we could define as: "The animated and naive love"

It is a love typical of the 90's generation where we see a playboy by nature IN Pyo (Jung Chan) who was accustomed to many adventures with girls.
