The story follows 21st-century man Lin Wan Rong who is touring around Mount Tai when he accidentally falls into a dark space, transferring him to a parallel world, existing at the same time as the Song dynasty. In this world, many historical facts are in contrary to what is written in historical books. For instance, Xiang Yu defeated Liu Ban at the Battle of Gaixia and never committed suicide, as a result. While he’s described as smart and generous, he also enjoys joking and playing around as much as the next person. Using his economics wits, modern knowledge, and a whole layer of thick skin, he’s able to rise to become a lord of his own. However, with money and power, he inadvertently gets entangled in a power struggle between the royal members and somehow finds himself leading a troop to war.

These trials become stepping stones for the Wan Family as they mature and grow closer in the face of hardships.

The Curse episode: Furuhata investigates a series of bizarre, seemingly random accidental deaths. He zeroes in on the suspect murderer, but loses faith in his instincts when the suspect is himself killed. However, in the end, he ends up solving three murders and catching the real suspect. The Ichiro episode: Ichiro Suzuki plays a fictional version of himself. Mukojima appears in this episode, revealing he is Ichiro's older brother (fictional). The very last Furuhata episode with Tamura Masakazu as the lead. Nanako Matsushima plays a dual role (as twin sisters). Fumio Kohinata returns to the series, playing a different character.

Rameen is a simple and innocent girl. She belongs to a middle-class family. She’s very close to her father. Her father is suffering from some uncurable illness and tells Rameen's mother about his wish of getting Rameen married to Faraz, his nephew and paternal first cousin of Rameen. Rameen's father dies a few days later after telling about his last wish to Rameen's mother. On the other hand Rameen is in love relationship with Humayun, who belongs to a rich family. When Humayun’s mother comes to Rameen’s home with Humayun’s proposal for Rameen, she denies on the spot due to class difference and the last wish of Rameen's father. Rameen gets married to Faraz against her will.
