Facing an unacceptable reality, a teacher is trying to reclaim relationships with his family, students and former friends. Reassessing his past, he contemplates how to go on with his life.

10 years after the death of his wife Min-Joo (Kim Ji-Su), Hyun-Woo (Yoo Ji-Tae) still suffers from the loss of his true love. 10 year ago, Min-Joo was in a department store when the building horrifically collapsed. Although Hyun-Woo is now a successful prosecutor, his life is still filled with a void. Hyun-Woo then receives a visit a from Min-Joo's father (Choi Jong-Won). During his visit, Min-Joo's father gives Hyun-Woo her diary. Hyun-Woo reads through her journals and notices that she wrote in detail all of the beautiful places she visited while working as a TV tour program director. Min-Joo planned to revisit these places with Hyun-Woo on their honeymoon. Hyun-Woo decides to visit the places marked in Min-Joo's diary. Along the way, Hyun-Woo keeps encountering a mysterious woman (Uhm Ji-Won) and they soon embark on the trip together.

Vice President Oh is highly respected at his cosmetics company and is a faithful family man. One day, he finds out that his wife has been diagnosed with cancer and later spends every night on the hospital’s extra bed to keep her company after her surgery. Although he is weary from taking care of his wife, he does not show it at work. However, a new female employee, Choo Eun-joo, starts Oh’s mind stirring. Oh dreams of escaping his tedious and suffocating reality with Eun-joo. While in real life he has to go to the hospital and change his wife’s diaper after work, Eun-joo’s existence itself feels like a delight compared to his pitiful existence. Director Im Kwon-taek has directed several films that keenly look into human instinct, and Revivre is another one of them. The will to live, sexual instincts, the light and the darkness of life and fear and desperation about death are illustrated on the screen among other contradictory values, delivering the great director’s wisdom and understanding.

During the course of the assignment their relationship turns sexual and Da starts to asks herself if her feelings towards Be could be real love. Bee, who owns a coffeeshop, is a tom living alone. Spurned by her father, she feels guilty. She doesn't ever expect success at love, thinking that the only thing tom can do is making other women happy. Da lives next door to Bee. Though also unloved, she's straight and considers tom abnormal, and she'd never dream of dating one - until something changes her mind.

The story starts because of one journey. Seven people who have never met before climb aboard the same ride that goes into a seemingly endless tunnel.
