The 47th NHK Taiga Drama is a life story of Atsuhime who was born in Kagoshima Prefecture, then called Satsuma, and became the wife of Tokugawa Iesada, the 13th shogun of the Tokugawa shogunate. She accedes to the highest rank in Ooku, the inner palace of the Edo castle where women related to the reigning shogun resided. Iesada dies soon after their marriage and Atsuhime assumes the name Tenshoin at the age of 23. She exerts herself for the Tokugawa clan and for the nation during the upheaval in the Meiji Restoration, headed by those from Satsuma. In 1835, Shimazu Tadatake, head of the Imaizumi-Shimazu family of Satsuma clan, and Oyuki are blessed with a long-awaited daughter, Okatsu, who later becomes Atsuhime. She grows up as a tomboy, full of wonders, yet warm-hearted. Meanwhile, as Satsuma clan is under going financial reform, headed by chief retainer Zusho, Tadatake is punished for being lenient with farmers. Okatsu, unable to absorb why her father is punished, charges over to Zusho.

Armaan and Saadi are inseparable best friends who love each other to death like brothers. Aiman comes from America and Armaan falls in love with her. However Saadi begins to like Aiman as well and Aiman begins to like Saadi as well, causing Armaan to corner his feelings for her and this causes him to dislike his own mother who has been against Aiman and has been very cunning, which was coming in front of his eyes finally. Saadi marries Aiman and Armaan is heartbroken, and Saadi later finds out that Armaan likes her and is disappointed that he never was informed and feels as if Armaan distanced Saadi from himself. Armaan moves to Dubai. Some time later, Saadi is kidnapped by a politician and is killed while going to Armaan after he is let go from the kidnappers. Armaan is mentally deranged after this, because Aiman blames him out of anger and Armaan tries to kill himself. Armaan decides he should be there for Aiman because she has nobody now. He begins to take care of Aiman and her child, and begin their fight for justice for Saadi's death with the corrupt politicians. The last episode begins when Aiman is missing from the house and everyone is worried and panicking about her whereabouts.

During the Qing dynasty in Beijing, a powerful empress took over the throne.The story focus on four different families. The Chai family, Chai Hok Yan, who was betrayed by other officials and the whole family was sentenced to death. Chai Pak Chuen was the only survivor in the Chai family because a loyal assistant of his switched identities with him. Pak Cheun changed his name to Fan Chi Chai and traveled to a different city to start a new life. That's when he met the Kiu family. Kiu Bun Yip, is a successful business banker, however, he also has enemies, including the Cho family. Bun Yip invited Pak Chuen to his bank Ding Fung Shing to learn about banking. At the same time, he met Cheung Shung Man, the two of them became best friends.

This is a youthful story which spans the period of ten years and focuses on friendship, alienation, and one ultimate betrayal that breaks the group of close friends, each going their own way and entering society. Despite growing up poor, Li Xia works hard and wins a scholarship into a grand secondary school where she meets the legendary Fu Xiao Si and Lu Zhi Ang. Love booms in more ways than one, and the group of youth quickly became good friends. After graduation, everyone goes their separate ways. Xiao Si becomes a well-known artist, Li Xia becomes Xiao Si's assistant and other half, Qi Qi won a singing competition and becomes a famous idol, Yu Jian heads Beijing to realize her dreams of becoming a singer. Everyone is still fighting for their dreams. However, with the onslaught of adversities: Xiao Si's struggle, Li Xia's departure, imprisonment of Zhi Ang, Qi Qi's betrayal and death of Yu Jian's boyfriend; the warm and bright summer starts to fade away. Everyone is changing and they become doubtful about the origin of their friendship. A span of ten years make them realize that other than memories, nothing can be eternal, but they have learnt to love and grow.

Park Ji Sang is a doctor specializing in hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery in the best cancer research hospital in the country. He is also a vampire. A year has pass and Golf and Mike are a famous duo. Pat and Ple are still their girlfriends though keeping it secret from the public is making Pat unhappy which causes a strain in Golf and Pat's relationship. Things are made worse when Pat gets into accident and doesn't remember Golf. Golf does everything possible to make Pat remember but fails cause she starts remembering the bad times only. Pat decided to start over her life and falls for a guy named March and starts dating him. Though the more she hangs out with Golf, she is becoming confused about her feelings. In addition, Mike has been having headaches and fainting so he decided to go to the hospital where he learns that he has a brain tumor. Mike hides the truth from his girlfriend Ple so she doesn't be sad, but she assumes that he is cheating on her cause he is becoming secretive and suddenly disappears a lot which causes problems in their relationship. Will Pat remember Golf and their good times together? Will Ple believe that Mike isn't cheating on her? Will the gang find out about Mike health problem?
