During the summer in the present day, Jeon Youn Ha runs a vacation cottage located deep in the woods. His peaceful life is shaken by the sudden appearance of a mysterious woman named Yoo Sung A.

In the early 2000's, Koo Sang Joon ran the same vocation cottage as Jeon Young Ha did years later. Koo Sang Joon and his family also lived there, but, during the summer, something happened at his vacation cottage and Koo Sang Joon lost everything because of that. At that time, Yoon Bo Min worked as a police officer at the nearest police substation from the vacation cottage. 20 years later, Yoon Bo Min is transferred to the same police substation where she worked before and she begins to work there as the chief. She enjoys solving things and begins to observe Jeon Young Ha closely.

Kanbe Takeru chooses to remain in the Special Missions Division, but he seems to continue to keep a distance from his direct superior, Sugishita Ukyo. One day, the dead body of the popular female novelist, Mizumoto Shoko, is found in her own home. The possibility of murder fuelled by a grudge is high from the situation at the crime scene, and a male stalker emerges in the line of investigation. However, Ukyo focuses his attention on a missing section from a document package for a new book that Shoko was working on. It is eventually determined that Shoko was attempting to write a novel with an environmental theme which is completely different from her style of writing so far. Ukyo and Kanbe try to get information from the employees at a trading conglomerate that Shoko had interviewed.

This story is about three people, Jae Ho, Shi Yung and Suk Ho. Jae Ho and his sister Jae Young are abandoned by their mother to escape poverty. Because of this, Jae Ho doesn't understand what love is. And so, he has a dream of becoming rich, thinking that there is no such thing as love, only money. He works hard his whole life while supporting himself and his sister through college. He works at a seafood wholesale market selling crabs to vendors. He lives with his aunt who has taken him and his sister in after their mother abandoned them.

With his big dreams and ambitions, he pretends to be rich while in school, in order to gain the attention of Hyun Su, who is from a very rich family. Thus, he tries to get her to like him so he can marry into her family and become rich. But during this process, he falls in love with his Psychology teacher, Shi Yung. He battles with his feelings and his ambitions, and ultimately picks love over money. Even though they go through hardship, he realizes that he couldn't survive without both, and so he gives up on Shi Yung for money and wishes her happiness.

Ton’s father has committed suicide after his mistress Khun Ji left him for the paralyzed but mega rich playboy millionaire Khun Narin. The lamentable situation he faced has caused the young Ton to live with undying hatred on the mistress’ family. An older Ton then pretended to work at his rival’s hotel company in order to satisfy his revenge. He also had an affair with Khun Ji. Khun Ja, a family member of Khun Ji and Khun Narin has come back from abroad. She was suspicious with Ton and Khun Ji’s relationship but could not help herself to fall for Ton. When Masato (Takashi Sorimachi) was in his 20's, he failed with an organic farming business and accrued heavy debt. Ultimately, Masato ran away to Tokyo, leaving his parents and daughter Miho behind. 13 years later, Masato's father dies. Miho (Mayu Matsuoka) decides to inherit a field from her grandfather and his farm. To help Miho and his mother Yayoi, Masato goes back to his hometown village.
