Fund companies to try to monopolize the money tree that produces the God Corn. Government heard rumors of successful development of "God Corn", and tries to get the rights to this God Corn, and the huge profits that are bound to come with it. Suzuki is suddenly caught up in a swirling world of conspiracy. On the other hand, Yagisawa Chikako of the Criminal Investigations Unit harbors a suspicion about the burned bodies of men found in the riverbed. This starts the investigation, and it might be murder rather than suicide or accidental death. Pandora's box has certainly been opened.

While on stage, Jo-Goo calls out to a ghost from a closet brought on stage. Yeo-Ri performs as the ghost in the show. After the show, Jo-Goo offers to take the entire staff out to an expensive dinner on the condition that Yeo-Ri accompanies them. All the staff members look at her, but Yeo-Ri replies that she already has an appointment. Since Yeo-Ri joined Jo-Goo's show she has yet to go out with them. Back at her house, Yeo-Ri brings out a birthday cake to eat by herself. In her living room a tent is there. She talks to her mother on her cellphone. Her mom and sister moved to Norway years ago. Her mom starts to cry, feeling guilty and also worrying that Yeo-Ri will always live alone. While she sleeps, Yeo-Ri feels something strange and wakes up, facing yet another ghost. After their next performance, Jo-Goo insists that Yeo-Ri join them for dinner and drinks. This time around, her excuses are not accepted and she is forced to go with them. During dinner Yeo-Ri becomes drunks and sits next to Jo-Goo. She starts to blabber that Jo-Goo lacks heart and then suddenly rips his shirt. The next day, Yeo-Ri remembers what she did and calls Jo-Goo. Yeo-Ri offers to pay for the shirt. At that moment, Yeo-Ri again sees a ghost. Jo-Goo hears a strange sound over the phone. When their conversation ends, Jo-Goo becomes worried and decides to go to her house to check on her. Jo-Goo wil now learn about the difficult world that Yeo-Ri lives in. Can Jo-Goo help her to find a way out or will he be chased away by the ghosts like all of the other people in Yeo-Ri's life?

    Kyonosuke Kawamura is the successor to the prestigious Kishima family. He performs as a kabuki stage actor. There, Ayame Chiba, who also attends the same high school, approaches him and shouts out "that is not Kagamijishi and I want my money back!"

    Due to excessive expectation as the successor of the Kishima family, Kyonosuke becomes sick and tired of kabuki. He plays with best friend Haruhiko Sakamoto and female fans until late into the night. When he arrives back home, his father Yozaemon, who is a master in kabuki, scolds him. An argument ensues. Yozaemon has never acknowledged Kyonosuke's efforts. That is a big reason why Kyonosuke has become estranged from kabuki. He also can't forgive his father for always placing kabuki as his first priority. His father did not show up when his mother became gravely ill and died.

    Kyonosuke then meets Ayame at school. She again complains about his performance. Kyonosuke also learns that Ayame has a favorite actor. He's embarrassed by her complaints. For his next performance, Kyonosuke shows up practice, but he is chewed out by his instructor Matsukichi. Others, including Shohei Sawayama, watch this and make fun of Kyonosuke behind his back. Kyonosuke also hears from his rival Ichiya Sawayama that he was shocked at his performance. Kyonosuke feels numb.

While Haru neither likes nor dislikes her good-for-nothing father, she gets excited about the kidnapping which will take her where she likes. But Takashi seems to have made some bargain with her mother by holding Haru hostage. Haru is in the dark about the details. Her father brings her to the sea, mountains and various places.

    During this time, Haru learns how the romance between her parents started, is piggybacked for kilometres and even meets his ex-girlfriend Nori-chan (Mitsushima Hikari). Through this strange yet thrilling summer journey, she gets to know a side of her father that was previously unknown to her. Takashi eventually runs out of money and the “trip” between father and daughter comes to an end.

When she was in high school, she fell for a hunky classmate (Seiichi Tanabe) who just so happens to be working in a local bookshop. Will she summon the courage to say "hi?"
