Hsiang, a comedian, suddenly gets a call from her daughter Ling who she has not seen for the past ten years. Ling is now 18 and unexpectedly pregnant. She comes to Taipei to ask her father for shelter. But Ling has no idea that Hsiang is now a she, while Hsiang is still transitioning and living with her boyfriend. Zhou Nan (played by Mu Tong), a passionate young man in Bengcheng, is entrusted by market administrator Li Daguang (played by An Zehao) to help him find the lost adopted daughter Li Yan. As the investigation deepened, many clues pointed to the local human trafficking gang headed by Lao Jiu. Li Daguang tried all means to retrieve his daughter, and even sought revenge on Lao Jiu after he turned against Zhou Nan. At the same time, policeman Zhao Jia (played by Huocheng Cheng), who has been investigating the old nine, also found Zhou Nan, and together with him he retrieved the missing Li Yan and uncovered an unknown story about Li Daguang.

The story is about a drunken god from the Northeast, Lao Jiu (played by Song Xiaofeng), who goes on a journey to the South with his friends to find his sister who has run away from home.
