Yano Katsuhiko, a weather forecaster who is divorced and is introduced by his friend, Taguchi to popular radio DJ Yukawa Sachi aka "Love Specialist". Yano recalled seeing pictures of her before but the person he actually saw is Sachi's friend, Yujin.

Huang Cai Wei was engaged to Bai Qian Feng when he went missing on a business trip and presumed dead. She was then forced to marry his brother Bai Qian Sheng. His obvious favoritism of her incited jealousy in his other wives, especially his primary wife Ma Fu Fang. Huang managed to outmaneuver many of the women's ploy using her wits. She works with Dong Ki Joon. He is Sa Ra’s business partner and an advisory lawyer at Solution. Before coming to Solution, he was an excellent prosecutor who had the nickname of "German Shepherd." He picked up the nickname because of his persistence and keen intuition, but Ki Joon left the prosecutors' office for an unknown reason. Sa Ra and Ki Joon work together for people who are suffering through difficult divorces.

Hiratsuka Heihachi (Katori Shingo), a detective of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s First Investigative Division, is an oddball with his rude, petty, makeshift attitude and fuss over little things although he is always smiling and excrutiatingly gentlemanly in speech to everyone. Brazenly stepping into territory that others hate, he exposes their hidden faces and the true nature of human relations to solve cases. On the other hand, rookie detective Saionji Kosuke (Yamashita Tomohisa), the son of a very high profile distinguished family, is highly conscientious, untainted and upright. He is taken on probation by his coveted First Investigative Division, but the work he is given is overseen by Hiratsuka. The First Investigative Division’s Team Hiratsuka is a one-man department with Hiratsuka himself. While Hiratsuka is an unpopular person that no one in the division wishes to work under, he has somehow solved a great number of cases in succession. For that reason, the members of the division speculate that Hiratsuka might have ties with the dark side and Saionji is put under Hiratsuka in order to find evidence of his wrongdoing. Toko (Fukatsu Eri), decides after she turns 30 that she is all but ready to give up on any future career hopes or romance, so she turns to the bottle for comfort. She knows that this isn't the best thing, but can't find the strength right now to do anything except choose the easy way to do things. This causes her to start getting down on herself. Luckily though, she doesn't give up hope completely, and tries to take things as they come. Which proves to help to some degree. Suddenly one day, a guy by the name of Kotaro (Tsutsumi Shinichi) comes along. Like Toko, Kotaro hasn't had much luck at work either. Even so, this is still the same guy that Toko liked when she was younger. Naturally, Toko is thrilled to see Kotaro after such a long time, but eventually finds out that he is about as insensitive as you can get, and is self-centered to boot. This really gets to Toko. What's worse is that Toko ends up starting a small company with him, even though she had to leave her position at a large company because of trouble they were involved in together.

While lost during a party, Lin Lai Sui (Ariel Lin) fortuitously meets a young boy who comforts her while she is scared. He compliments her hair while touching it, saying that it looks very long and dark, just like a doll. From then on, she thought of him as her first love and grew her hair out in hopes of meeting him again.

Lai Sui is an upcoming fashion designer who had her designs "Daisy", which she drew when she was 5 years old, stolen by Chu Xing (Simon Yam), a fashion 'genius'. Even though Chu Xing is a fashion genius, he still feels the need to steal designs from an up-and-coming designer. Sui believes this theft is the cause of her parents' separation, because her parents enjoyed role playing while wearing the "Daisy" dress. At the opening ceremony of her university, Bao Cheng Institute, she openly embarrasses and challenges Chu Xing, promising she will become a much more prominent designer than him and cause his downfall. Privately, Sui also vowed she would not fall in love until her promise is fulfilled. However, she soon changes her mind when she meets the attractive, flirty, kinky, and popular senior Ji Feng Liang (Wu Chun). To her dismay, she finds out that he is both Chu Xing's one and only son and the young boy she knew at that party!
