In the early days of the Republic, legendary martial artist Ye Ruzhou suffers a severe injury, losing her memory and winding up in the impoverished alley of Minfu Lane. The story follows a young man who has been single for a year after his boyfriend suddenly disappeared without a formal breakup. Se Jin runs into a teenage gang. Jae Pil and Sin Ji accidently help Se Jin and Ju Yeong out of a dangerous situation. However, Se Jin doesn't appreciate their help, and she shouts at them. The four teenagers escape to a mountain where no one can find them.

Se Jin asks them to help her terminate her pregnancy, since they ruined her first attempt by saving her. Their blood freezes as graves appear in the darkness.

What would a Taiwanese Woody Allen movie look like? Probably something on the order of Yang’s panoramic satire of life in the material world of 1990s Taipei, the skyline choked by smog and the neon signs of globally branded corporations. With his rapier wit, Yang observes the self-absorption of a gaggle of twenty-something urbanites, including “culture company” impresario Molly (Ni Shujun), her wealthy fiancée (who fears Molly may be cheating on him), her talk-show-host sister, and the sister’s estranged husband, a novelist whose latest book imagines a reincarnated Confucius returning—with considerable horror—to a modern society ostensibly built upon his teachings. Though it signaled a shift in tone from his earlier, more dramatic films, A Confucion Confusion finds Yang once again searching for the soul of a country he no longer quite recognizes.

Dispatched teaching staff member Nanami meets Tetsuya through SNS and decides to marry him. She doesn't have many relatives and turns to an agency called "Nandemoya", run by Amuro. She asks the agency to send people to her wedding and for some to pretend they are her relatives. Early in her marriage, Nanami finds Tetsuya having an affair, but her mother-in-law, Kayako, insists Nanami is having the affair. Due to this, Nanami has to leave her home. Amuro gives Nanami, who is in trouble, odd part-time jobs.

The film was produced during Second Sino-Japanese War, before the Pearl Harbor Attack in 1941. The film mainly concerns the training of newly-recruited pilots and their daily life, then their subsequent fighting experiences in China. Army supported the production, providing all the authentic airplanes, training and actual actions. They even provided the older biplanes disguised as Chinese fighter planes. Obinata plays the trainer-turned-combat-leader, who is passionate and cool at the same time. All his boys love him, of course. The film is not as intense, full of sugar-coated camaraderie, until young pilots are killed in action one by one. Last twenty minutes are fairly grim, as the message of self-sacrifice is heard loud and clear. Yoo Ra suffers from nightmares every night. One day she meets her high school friends. Jin Tae is a promising artist, In Seok is a chaebol and former thug, Hye Jin likes In Seok, and Seong Ho, who used to be In Seok's errand boy, finally meet up. Yoo Ra asks her friends if they remember the classmate that killed herself. Everyone is flustered and claims they don't.

Yoo Ra goes to the bathroom but passes out after seeing herself in the mirror. Everyone gets in In Seok's car to send Yoo Ra home, but they get into an accident and all become unconscious. When they wake up, they are at a familiar school that's closed. It was the school they went to that has closed down.

Why did they end up there? Yoo Ra and her friends tremble in fear for their lives...

While checking out the story, based on Sudo's tip, Fuji becomes convinced that the letter is correct. But, a lot of time has passed from the incidents and Sudo's testimony isn't clear. Due to the persistance of Sudo, who is a former yakuza, and Fuji, the police begin to move.
