The story follows a young man who has been single for a year after his boyfriend suddenly disappeared without a formal breakup. The story is started from Wongtanong, the Indy magazine founder called A Day from Thailand who've been traveled to Italy and found that the family of the down syndrome people they let the Down syndrome kids live a normal life as everybody else. Therefore, he wishes to know more about Thailand's Down syndrome kids situation in Thailand, his hometown. Finally, he met 5 of most interesting Thai's Down syndrome kids who live a normal but wonderful life.

Kota (Satoshi Ono) is an ordinary young man. He has a good family, including his father who always supports him, his mother who enjoys cooking and his older sister with her bright personality. He also has a girlfriend named Etsuko (Fumino Kimura). Kota wants people to eat delicious foods made by him and he begins a job as an apprentice chef at a restaurant. One day, Kota suddenly passes out and is sent to the hospital. Kota is diagnosed with malignant lymphoma by Doctor Murayama (Kyusaku Shimada). His life and his family's life changes after that. He has to spend an extended time at the hospital and he meets people there who also change him. With chemotherapy he overcomes his malignant lymphoma. But then, Kota has a relapse and he only has three months left to live. His family desperately tries to hold him.

Jin Woo, who resides on a sheep ranch in Hwacheon, Gangwon-do, lives a quiet life with his daughter Seol. Ranch owner Joong Man and his daughter Moon Kyeong treat them as family. Soon after, Jin Woo’s male friend Hyun Min arrives at the ranch, and reveals that the two have been long-time lovers. They dream of living happily with Seol in this peaceful place. However, with Jin Woo’s twin sister Eun Young’s visit, the conflict begins. In fact, Seol is Eun Young’s daughter but Jin Woo has been raising her because Eun Young disappeared. Like the close-up scene of the sheep wool in the beginning, A Far Place is a story that is not noticed from afar but revealed when looked closely. The local folks, who seemed friendly and gentle, show their true colors, and become exclusive and discriminatory as they learn about the truth of the two men. Even the intentions of family members, who thought they knew each other well, feel like ‘a far place.’ Like Jin Woo’s mind, the beautiful autumn landscape of Gangwon-do turns into harsh winter, but the film believes there is still a ray of hope.

On New Year's Eve, Qingyi (Athena Chu) and her son, Dawa, were waiting for her husband to come home from work but he never showed up. Meanwhile, Dawa keeps seeing a stranger who is invisible to Qingyi. Leaving Dawa under the care of her neighbour, she heads to the village to find out her husband’s whrereabouts. Qingyi returns home and sees a stranger hiding in her house…

The girls then experience unusual occurrences like hearing breathing from closed classrooms and seeing a person's shadow. Hitomi then sneaks into an abandoned school to shoot a horror video for the internet. Hitomi hears from her colleague Kimio about a fox's window which leads to the spirit world

Nami is a 40-year-old housewife. She meets her high school friend Serika for the first time in many years, but Serika now has terminal cancer. Serika tells Nami that she wants to meet her old friends from the "Sunny" club before she dies. Nami attempts to round up their friends for a reunion.

Jae Ho is the prisoner who makes rules and wields the most power among the inmates. Outside of prison, he was the #2 guy in a criminal gang, but he is ambitious enough to go after the #1 spot upon his release. One day, Jae Ho meets new prisoner Hyun Soo, who doesn't follow the rules of the prison and he doesn't submit to anyone.
