In 1598, the seven-year Imjin War nears an end as Wae invaders prepare to withdraw from Joseon. Admiral Yi Sun-shin leads an allied fleet of Joseon and Ming ships to annihilate the Wae army. After suffering from serial paranormal events, a wealthy family living in LA summons a young rising shaman duo Hwa Rim and Bong Gil to save the newborn of the family. Once they arrive, Hwa Rim senses a dark shadow of their ancestor has latched on the family in a so-called 'Grave Calling'.

In order to exhume the grave and relieve the ancestor, Hwa Rim seeks help from top-notch geomancer Sang Deok and mortician Yeong Geun. To their dismay, the four find the grave at a shady location in a remote village in Korea. Unaware of the consequences, the exhumation is carried out, unleashing a malevolent force buried underneath.

Hana is a high school student. Her parents suddenly died in an accident. Since then, Hana doesn't have any hope to live. Min-Young also notices strange behavior from other neighbors. Min-Young looks to uncover the truth behind the apartment complex.

Satoshi Kubo has been dubbed the "God of Death" since he was a child. Amane is a Japanese office worker, a victim of the big business machine and the concrete jungle of a Japanese big city. He has a girlfriend, Juri, but she is not very exciting. Amane is driving home when he accidentally runs over a woman. He visits her in hospital but she doesn't accept any offers of compensation, and disappears. He becomes obsessed with her, and he eventually finds her: her name is Hanabusa and she is a hostess in a club, but there is a twist: it's a transvestite night club. And, yes, she is really a man underneath her very elegant and beautiful feminine appearance Amane recoils, but is clearly inclined to go along with it, which he does. Nothing much happens that night, but Amane is still obsessed and visits her in the club again, and eventually they make love at home. To comply with Japanese moral requirements, a table-lamp is conveniently positioned between the camera and their lower bodies while this is in progress. Amane is a little naive in matters of love-making, and Hanabusa shows him some new techniques, both as the passive and the active partner; for Amane it's perfect love-making. Amane is now hooked, and drops Juri. Juri is unhappy with this, and they argue, and then Juri finds where Hanabusa lives and confronts her at her home. Hanabusa deflects Juri's anger and they make love, with Hanabusa taking the male part. Juri enjoys it, and for a moment we wonder if this pairing might be permanent, but she leaves and gets even more angry at Amane for leaving her.She consults a man who works with Amane, and seeking consolation, they have sex. Now Juri's period is late; she goes to Amane's flat to confront him, and to pressure him into marrying her. But Hanabusa is there, and the confrontation degenerates, and Juri leaves, in tears. She has already threatened suicide if Amane doesn't go back to her; will she do something desperate?

Young Eon, an innocent girl-next-door type who has a remarkable talent for singing. When her best friend Sun Min shows up at the music room, Young Eon has to decline her offer to hang out because she wants to continue practicing. Of course, spooky things start to happen when Young Eon is left alone in the school, a fact which culminates in our heroine getting killed in a gruesome, yet slightly hilarious way - death by paper cut. Or is that actually what happens?

Yeo Jang-Boo (Cha Tae-Hyun) possesses extraordinary visual acuity. He is able to see things ordinary people cannot. When he little, people laughed at him. Afterwards, he spent the next 20 years at home watching TV dramas. Finally, Yeo Jang-Boo goes out into the world and becomes an ace at a South Korean CCTV control center.

Intense and minimalist, Kuru-Obi follows the physical and spiritual journeys of three karate journeymen in militaristic 1930s Japan. With the non-professional leads being black belts in real life, the film's martial art sequences are as strong and straightforward as they come, but equally important is the philosophy behind the moves, and the internal and external conflicts brought about by violence. Kuru-Obi is also notably forthcoming about the historical background of the time, clearly setting up the militaristic atmosphere and corrupting forces surrounding the characters. Giryu (Yagi Akihito), Taikan (Naka Tatsuya), and Choei (Suzuki Yuji) study karate at a reclusive dojo in 1932 Kyushu under master Shibahara (Owada Shinya). When the military come to take over their dojo, the students resist and peace-loving Giryu easily fends off military commander Tanahara (Hakuryu) in a duel. Shamed by his loss, Tanahara commits seppuku, and his wife and daughter come looking for revenge. Hoping to put an end to the violence, Giryu allows himself to be stabbed and incurs near mortal wounds. Taikan, meanwhile, can only submit to orders when the military return with guns. Joining the army as an instructor, Taikan becomes increasingly aggressive and brutal as he seeks higher opponents. His downward spiral paves the way to a showdown with former comrade Giryu who must learn to fight again.

Bo Young, who suffers from a rare disease that becomes dangerous if she is too emotional, meets Cheol Gi, a rural young man, and falls in love.
