In the early days of the Republic, legendary martial artist Ye Ruzhou suffers a severe injury, losing her memory and winding up in the impoverished alley of Minfu Lane. By a twist of fate, she crosses paths with the carefree Chen Awang, and the two fall for each other. When local tyrant Zheng Juehou intensifies his hold over the neighborhood, Ye Ruzhou rises to defend her new community. Akai Ito is an movie coming out in December of 2008. It's based on a popular mobile phone novel written by Mei and its plot will continue a story started and ended on a Fuji TV drama which is scheduled to air at around the same time. Mei has been in love with Yuya all her life. They've grown up together. But when they reach their second year of middle school, Yuya suddenly professes his love for her older sister, Haruna. Struggling to rebound from her decade-long crush, Mei finds comfort in the close camaraderie of her school friends, Taka, Mia, Yuri, Natsu, Mitsu and Sara and then meets a reticent and gentle-natured boy named Atsushi. The two begin to realize that they share many things in common that seem to transcend mere coincidence: the same birthday (February 29th, 1992) and a previous encounter when they were both 8. Feeling a bond of fate, they grow closer. But destiny can have a dark side to it, too, and a shocking revelation from both of their pasts compels Atsushi to pull away from Mei. The devastating separation then unleashes a wave of misfortune upon Mei: the death of a loved one, drug addiction and domestic violence. As circumstances seek to take control of her life, Mei struggles to maintain her faith in the tenuous thread of destiny that will reunite her with her true love.

While researching a story on a school for problem children, Nakahara meets Emi, a college volunteer with a compelling tale of her own. After overcoming her initial reluctance to open up to the writer, Emi talks about her busted leg and her childhood friendship with the chronically ill Yuka. Hiroki steps away from the mature material he's best known for (Vibrator), but focuses the same empathetic gaze on a group of people who don't conform in a perfection-obsessed society and the bonds formed in it.

After Jae-Hyun is discharged from the military, he begins to sell roasted sweet potatoes to pay for his university tuition fees. Hye-Ri works at a room salon. She often buys roasted sweet potatoes from Jae-Hyun. One day, drunken Hye-Ri goes to Jae-Hyun and asks him to be her friend. Jae-Hyun says yes. Later, at the corner of an alley, Hye-Ri is bitten by an employee at the room salon. Jae-Hyun helps her and they become closer. Through chance, they spend a night together. The next morning, Hye-Ri finds money apparently left behind on purpose by Jae-Hyun. She is hurt by his actions and never sees Jae-Hyun again. Jae-Hyun now works at an insurance company. Hye-Ri then reappears in Jae-Hyun's life and they fall in love. They even begin to live together. Suddenly, Hye-Ri tells Jae-Hyun that she wants to become an actress. Jae-Hyun supports her, but he eventually tires of supporting her. Around this time, Jae-Hyun begins a relationship with a beautiful client. The relationship between Jae-Hyun and Hye-Ri is now shattered. To make matters worse, goons from the room salon where Hye-Ri formerly worked, begin to look for her and pressures Jae-Hyun.

Jiang Wei, a big girl who was nothing, accidentally got the magic bracelet and got the "week 8" time. However, the bracelet was stolen and all falsehoods were successfully defeated. Jiang Wei finally understood that the meaning of magic is growth rather than pretense.

Four pianists take part in the preliminary round of an international piano playing competition. Each has a story that is different and unique. One is a former child prodigy who stopped playing when her mother died. One is a Julliard student. One works at a music store. One is a new face and yet comes recommended.

Battlefield: Fall of The World (2022)

Two brothers compete for the amorous favors of a young woman during a seaside summer of gambling, boating, and drinking, in this seminal Sun Tribe (taiyozoku) film from director Kô Nakahira. Adapted from the controversial novel by Shintarô Ishihara, and critically savaged for its lurid portrayal of the postwar sexual revolution among Japan's young and privileged, Crazed Fruit is an anarchic outcry against tradition and the older generation. Uploader's Comments: This started the Sun Tribe craze in the Japanese film industry, which later paved the way for new wave directors like Oshima, Masumura and Yoshida. I quite like this one, even if it far from rivals many of the films by the aforementioned. smile1.gif Also includes an English commentary track with Japanese-film scholar Donald Richie. The track is, as usual, very informative and interesting if you're into these kinds of films.
