The story follows a young man who has been single for a year after his boyfriend suddenly disappeared without a formal breakup. Kyu-Min (Lee Yo-Won) works as a producer for a TV reality fighting program called "Legendary Fighter". The TV show pits regular men, who were renown street fighters back in their teenage days, to go up against professional MMA fighters. If the challenger can last a certain time against the professional fighter they make it into the finals and fight against one of their amateur peers. The winner gets $20,000. Lim Duk-Kyu (Hwang Jung-Min) runs a modest noodle restaurant. His wife passed away and he takes care of his teenage daughter Soo-Bin (Ji-Woo) alone. Producer Kyu-Min then visits Duk-Kyu's noodle restaurant and attempts to persuade Duk-Kyu to become a contestant on "Legendary Fighter". Lim Duk-Kyu isn't interested in fighting again and tells her no. A few days later, Lim Duk-Kyu goes to his mother-in-law's apartment for his wife's memorial service. There, he learns his daughter Soo-Bin beat up one of her classmates and her classmate is now hospitalized. Duk-Kyu goes to the hospital and apologizes to the girl and her father. He promises to pay for her hospital bills and give her additional compensation money. Now, Lim Duk-Kyu needs to make money and make it quick. He decides to participate in the TV show "Legendary Fighter". During his first bout, he knocks out the professional fighter, which is the first time that has ever occurred on the show. For his next fight, he awaits for his opponent in the ring. When the man walks in to the ring, Lim Duk-Kyu recognizes him immediately. His opponent is his friend Jae-Seok (Yoon Je-Moon) from his high school days. Meanwhile, Lee Sang-Hoon (Yu Jun-Sang) works as a manager for a corporation owned by his long time friend Jin-Ho (Jung Woong-In). Sang-Hoon then gets a phone call from Producer Kyu-Min, who tries to convince him to take part in the show.

Gang Pae has risen to the #2 rank in his mafia organization by using unflinching violence. Meanwhile, Su Ta is a popular actor who has a similar violent edge. Su Ta has already knocked one actor out of commission while filming a fight scene.

One night, Gang Pae hears that Su Ta is drinking in the same bar and he orders one of his men to get Su Ta's autograph. The short-tempered Su ta refuses, and this leads to a confrontation between Gang Pae and Su Ta.

A few days later, Su Ta critically injures another actor while filming a fight scene. Filming now comes to a halt, because no other actors are willing to perform alongside the short-tempered movie star. Su ta then thinks backs to his confrontation with Gang Pae and recalls Gang Pae mentioning he acted as an extra in a film before. He then contacts Gang Pae and offers him the co-starring role. Gang Pae is willing to take the part, but only if they are to do the fight scenes for real.

In 1972, the Vietnam war is coming to an end. CHOI Tae-in is plagued with feelings of guilt, losing all his men and being the sole survivor of a devastating battle. He is in the hospital recovering, but longs to return to his former unit. But the chief of the CID department orders him to lead an investigative scouting unit back in the thick of the jungle. Once again, the communication unit receives an unexplainable radio transmission from soldiers who were presumed missing and dead 6 months ago. CHOI Tae-in and his unit are sent to gather any clues as to the whereabouts of the missing unit. When the soldiers have moved on further into the jungle, the gravestone reveals its true message. "NO Return; He who sheds others' blood can not return."

Park Goo (Lee Kwang-Soo) mutates into a man-fish due to side effects from an experimental drug. He receives heavy publicity and becomes a star. A conspiracy by a pharmaceutical company leads Park Goo to being possibly expelled from the world.

Dear Friends follows a high-school student named Rina, who believes that friends are not necessary and that they can only be used in times of need. Thus, she is unable to maintain a decent relationship with her friends and classmates.

Saori has always disliked her gay father and has lived her life denying his existence. One rainy day she receives a visit at work from a young man called Haruhiko. He tells her that her father is dying of cancer and that the nursing home he operates is in danger of closing. Out of curiosity and debt, Saori goes to visit her father at the House of Himiko, a nursing home for gay old men. It is a sad place but filled with sardonic good cheer. Surprised but pleased, Haruhiko shows her around. The old men who live there are delighted. Saori is at first repelled by the relationship between Haruhiko and Himiko but she soon sees that their feelings are genuine. She begins taking an interest in keeping the nursing home alive...
