Facing an unacceptable reality, a teacher is trying to reclaim relationships with his family, students and former friends. Reassessing his past, he contemplates how to go on with his life.

When the world is hit with a naturally occuring virus that spreads among all living things, humans begin to turn into insatiable zombies. In a blink, the world as we know it collapses. Furthermore, the few remaining survivors are unable to use the available food resources. They therefore develop a new crop to support themselves. Survivors depend on one profession, their only hope; someone in this profession must brave the dangers to send and recieve food and packages of necessities. These people are called Riders.

Saeba Ryo is a "sweeper" in the city of Tokyo. He works as a trouble shooter, cleaning the streets of vermin, and helping out desperate people. Sometimes he's a bodyguard, sometimes he's an assassin, whatever Ryo does he does it well. In fact, his only flaw is his hormones - he loves the ladies and sometimes turns into an idiot when he's near them. Thankfully he's got people like his partner Kaori Makimura to keep him in check.

After suffering from serial paranormal events, a wealthy family living in LA summons a young rising shaman duo Hwa Rim and Bong Gil to save the newborn of the family. Once they arrive, Hwa Rim senses a dark shadow of their ancestor has latched on the family in a so-called 'Grave Calling'.

In order to exhume the grave and relieve the ancestor, Hwa Rim seeks help from top-notch geomancer Sang Deok and mortician Yeong Geun. To their dismay, the four find the grave at a shady location in a remote village in Korea. Unaware of the consequences, the exhumation is carried out, unleashing a malevolent force buried underneath.

Her father is nice to other people and her mother teaches calligraphy. Amiko has classmate Ri-kun, whom she likes. Amiko is honest and naive. Her behavior sometimes makes people feel embarrassed.

Tsugumi Dozono (Nana Eikura) works at a large electronics company in Tokyo. She likes to spend long vacations at her grandmother’s house in the countryside. One day, her grandmother passes away and Tsugumi Dozono decides to live in her grandmother's house while working from home. She finds a strange middle-aged man in the house. The man's name is Jun Kaieda (Etsushi Toyokawa).

Jun Kaieda tells Tsugumi that he is her grandmother’s ex-student and her grandmother gave him a key to the annex house. Tsugumi, who does not know the exact relationship between her grandmother and Jun, begins to live with him.

Rescue member A Jie and his companions rescued a reef-struck tanker in a violent storm but met the captain, who stubbornly refused to give up. At the same time, a dark shadow haunted the deep sea and dragged everyone into the sea. The surviving A Jie from then on, bearing the shadow of the death of colleagues, became decadent and disheartened.

Years later, A Jie overcame the shadow and boarded the fishing boat again, but he was constantly provoked by crew member A Tai, deputy captain A Ding, and others. One day, everyone rescued Xiao Jing, who had fallen into the sea due to the overturning of a yacht. Subtle changes occurred on the boat due to Xiao Jing's intrusion. Accidents began to occur frequently on the boat. Because of pressure in the cabin and lack of air and food, people began to clamor and panic, turning from mutual support to self-suspicion.

When the trapped people face the severe test of the storm, they find that the most dangerous thing is far more than this. There are unknown creatures coveting under the water... They must put aside their prejudices and work together to survive.

The story starts with small-time conman Cool (Nicholas Tse), whose undercover policeman half-brother (Phillip Ng) is murdered by Ko (Gao Hu), the head of an illegal gambling syndicate. Cool seeks the help of "Magic Hands" Ken (Chow Yun Fat), a legendary gambler turned casino security consultant, to battle Ko.
