Naoki (Masaki Suda) works as a not so popular host at the host club Akegarasu in Shinagawa, Tokyo. His repayment day is coming soon and he has prepared 10 million yen to pay off his debt. Naoki has a party with his co-workers to celebrate this event, but, when he wakes up the next night, he finds that his money is all gone. Naoki asks his co-workers at the club about his money, but all of them say they didn't see it. Did Naoki dream he had 10 million yen? If He doesn't get the money soon, he will be thrown into the bottom of Tokyo Bay. Naoki can't trust anyone.

Sabu and Eiji were best friends since they were small. They served as poor trainees in a traditional umbrella store. When they grew up, it was time for them to turn on a new leaf and live on their own. Unforturnately, Eiji was falsely accused as a thief. He was then isolated in a deserted island and forced to work as a coolie. Eiji was very angry and upset. He kept on thinking of ways to take revenge on the person who falsely incriminate him. During this period, Sabu kept on supporting Eiji and visiting him in jail. At the beginning, Eiji was jealous of Sabu and became hostile to him. After many years of isolation, when Eiji was about to recover his freedom, a cruel fact was revealed to him by Sabu and it drove Eiji crazy.....

A mysterious man nicknamed "Poongsan" (Yoon Kye-Sang) crosses between the South and North Korean border as a courier for hire. There's no way for people to contact him, but instead, Poongsan picks out potential clients from banners at a make shift memorial along the DMZ. Poongsan's next target is a man who wishes to bring a North Korean woman into South Korea. Meanwhile, a man (Kim Jong-Soo) is pushed by the section chief (Han Ki-Joong) at the NIS to write a report on North Korea. That man was a high ranking official in North Korea prior to defecting to South Korea. He's protected by NIS agents, but still paranoid that North Korean assassins will kill him. He asks the section chief at the NIS to bring his lover In-Ok (Kim Gyu-Ri) to him from North Korea. Agents from the NIS learn of a man able to smuggle people across the border. They place a banner along a makeshift memorial at the DMZ border. During the middle of the night, two NIS agents meet Poongsan who arrives on a motorcycle. When an NIS agent asks how long it will take to bring In-Ok into South Korea, Poongsan points to his watch to show 3 hours. The agent gives an incredulous laugh, but gets back into his car and waits for Poongsan. Poongsan runs off into the night towards the DMZ border. Poongsan heads out to Pyeongyang to retrieve In-Ok. While they are crossing the border back into South Korea, In-Ok feels an attachment to this mysterious man who doesn't speak ...

A woman seeking a quiet life in post-World War II British Malaya finds love and a common interest in gardening with a mysterious Japanese man.

Beijing, the present day. On the day they spontaneously divorce after being married for less than a month, magician Tao Xiaolei (Hawick Lau) and air hostess Zhou Jing (Mini Yang) hear they have won a free honeymoon down in Sanya, Hainan Island. Zhou Jing agrees to go, on condition they each do their own thing. At a drunken party Xiaolei bumps into an ex-girlfriend, Fang Meng (Chrissie Chau), and almost gets into a fight with a gangster type, Brother Bao (Michael Wang), who also claims to be her ex. Next morning Xiaolei and Fang Meng wake up in bed together, and Xiaolei receives a call saying that Zhou Jing has been kidnapped and will be killed unless he pays RMB1 million (US$150,000) within 48 hours. Xiaolei calls a Beijing friend, Sun Nuo (Lawrence Wang), manager of the bar at which he first met Xiaolei, to ask for a loan, but it's not enough. Meanwhile, Zhou Jing wakes up in a jungle treehouse in Jianfengling National Park and meets geeky botanist Bao Sanhe (Michael Wang), who is collecting samples. He offers to take her to safety but, when he can't find the way out, they end up spending the night in the jungle. At the same time, Fang Meng has been introducing Xiaolei to some gambling groups so he can use his card skills to win some money, but without success. Xiaolei refuses to ask the help of his wealthy father, Tao Dawei (Hugo Wu), who walked out on him and his mother, but eventually is forced to call him, and his father agrees to wire the money. However, the kidnapper then gives him a further 24 hours, even though he's ready to pay up, and just as Zhou Jing arrives back at the hotel she sees Xiaolei going off with Fang Meng - the continuation of a train of events that are not what they seem.

Barefoot Immortal befriended the villager Pian Pian on earth, who ended up sacrificing herself in order to save the village. From her, he saw honestly, kindness and beauty. From the solidarity, and how the villagers stood together to protect the "green bird" in the village, he understood gratitude and repayment of gratitude. The Barefoot Immortal came to his senses. In the end, he gave up the opportunity to return to heaven, chose to travel the earth to do good around, to further encourage people in times of crisis to dare to come forward, show solidarity, strong faith, courage to pursue, with a call for justice with kindness...
