Do-all rookie filmmaker Noh Young Seok wrote, produced, edited, and directed this delightful film about a broken-hearted young man on a wacky road trip.  Inferior gangster Flying Dragon (Chin Ka Lok) has a bad habit of gambling, he thus offends the three great gamble deceivers. This is a story about a common man who has extraordinary events in his mundane life. The film depicts the protagonist's turns of events in three eras, three seasons, three nights, in the same city, as told with reverse chronology.

Each of the three segments draws from a different genre: the first segment is a science fiction story set in a dystopian vision of the year 2035, the second a film noir segment focusing on Zhang's earlier job as a police officer, and the third a melodrama about Zhang's childhood encounter with a local organized crime boss.

In 2029, after the governments of North and South Korea announce a 5-year plan to reunify the country, strong sanctions by the world's powerful nations cripple the economy and lead to a hellish period of chaos. With the appearance of an armed anti-government terrorist group called The Sect which opposes reunification, the President creates a new police division called the Special Unit which amasses significant political power. However, the intelligence service Public Security, which sees its own influence drop, hatches a plot to annihilate the Special Unit. Amidst this bloody struggle between two ultra-powerful institutions, rumors emerge of a secret "Wolf Brigade" being formed within the Special Unit. The human weapons who are called wolves, "Illang".

Kazuo’s younger brother went missing, leaving behind debt for Kazuo. To pay off his brother's debt, Kazuo works at the library during the day and works at a bread factory at night. His wife and daughter soon leaves him. One day, Kazuo wins 300 million yen from the lottery. He feels uneasy about the amount of money he has won. He decides to do research on other people who won the lottery and he learns a lot of the winners became miserable. Kazuo decides to visit his rich friend Tsukumo for advice. Tsukumo tells him that he doesn't know the meaning of money. They spend time together, but the next day Kazuo discovers that his 300 million yen winning is gone and so is his friend Tsukumo. To get the money back, he meets various people who worked with Tsukumo.
