Star King is a program which selects the most amazing person, real life story, or video every week. The ones challenging that most amazing person, appear at the studio and compete for prize money. People can upload the videos via the internet and the prize money is given to the video selected as best. Star King is the first television program in Korea to communicate with viewers both online and offline. The show is an issue-maker as people who appear on the show top the 'most searched' rankings on internet portal sites. Doors are open to anyone with special skills or talents, people with amazing real life stories, and people with special pets or collections. The show Star King, where people show their special talents, dreams of making all Koreans into stars. The show is both entertaining and touching, featuring a large variety of people who come to show off even some of the easiest skills, professional-like singing, or amateur artists who were able to overcome their disabilities. Like a contestant once said, it is the only show where celebs applaud for the ordinary people. Its purpose is to draw the hidden talents and efforts out into the wide open and to give people hope.
