During the summer in the present day, Jeon Youn Ha runs a vacation cottage located deep in the woods. His peaceful life is shaken by the sudden appearance of a mysterious woman named Yoo Sung A.

In the early 2000's, Koo Sang Joon ran the same vocation cottage as Jeon Young Ha did years later. Koo Sang Joon and his family also lived there, but, during the summer, something happened at his vacation cottage and Koo Sang Joon lost everything because of that. At that time, Yoon Bo Min worked as a police officer at the nearest police substation from the vacation cottage. 20 years later, Yoon Bo Min is transferred to the same police substation where she worked before and she begins to work there as the chief. She enjoys solving things and begins to observe Jeon Young Ha closely.

Drama about Sejo's ousting and murder of King Danjong. ~~ Was canceled early as the story too closely resembled contemporary politics at the time.

The drama is based on the historical background of King Sejo (1455-68) and the six loyal subjects, known as "sayuksin." The story tells the tale of six royal officals of the court who try to help restore Danjong of Joseon to power and fight against the coup led by Sejo of Joseon. It is a story of six loyalists who were killed in an attempt to restore the dethroned King Danjong after the notoriously brutal King Sejo seized power.

Cui Wei, Sun Qiang, and Song Danan are old friends from high school. Now they are fathers but have not really matured. The departure of his wife made Cui Wei, the deputy director of the bank, ruined. Without the help of his old friends, he might not be able to pass this hurdle. The appearance of Wang Shanshan, who is straightforward, makes him even more unprepared; Sun Qiang is handsome and narcissistic, often provokes his wife Feng Jingjing to be angry. Duenpattra's grandmother was said to have committed suicide by poisoning herself so Duenpattra came down to the south to live in her grandmother's house to help with the investigation. She met a police officer named Captain Marut who was investigating the case and started to have mutual feelings for him. His name is Hem Hiran and he seemed to be living in a parallel universe from her, a universe called The Land of Good People, where everyone there strictly practiced the Five Moral Precepts. The people there are morally good and once they reach 1000 years their souls will ascend to heaven. Eventually, Hem will crossover to Duenpattra’s universe to help save her from being attacked by the people who murdered her grandmother. The two fell in love but how can they be together when they're from different universes?

The story is set in the era of the decline of the Shang dynasty (1600–1046 BC) and the rise of the Zhou dynasty (1046–256 BC). It intertwines numerous elements of Chinese mythology, including deities, immortals and spirits. The authorship is attributed to Xu Zhonglin. The novel is a romanticised retelling of the overthrow of King Zhou, the last ruler of the Shang dynasty, by Ji Fa, who would establish the Zhou dynasty in place of Shang. The story integrates oral and written tales of many Chinese mythological figures who are involved in the struggle as well. These figures include human heroes, immortals and various spirits (usually represented in Avatars form like vixens, and pheasants, and sometimes inanimate objects such as a pipa).
