King of Mask Singer is a South Korean singing competition program starting Celebrities. Each competition lasts for two episodes, with the singers competing one-on-one in three elimination rounds. They are given elaborate masks to wear in order to conceal their identity, thus removing factors such as popularity, career and age that could lead to prejudiced voting. In the first round, both contestants sing the same song, while in the second and third round they each sing a solo song. The winners of each pair are selected by the audience and panel of celebrities through instant live votes.

The identities of the singers are not revealed until they have been eliminated. The winner of the third round challenges the previous competition's Mask King, and is either eliminated or becomes the new Mask King.

Every week there will be a featured market from South Korea and within it, there are 3 types of food selected as its representatives. The cast and guest(s), as contestants, have to play games and win to be able to enjoy the food. There will be a dressing theme concept for the cast and guest(s) to follow for the filming of each episode. For episodes, 1–4, the program format is only 3 rounds of song dictation. From episode 5, the program format changed to 2 rounds of song dictation, with a Snack Time in between the dictation segments.

Don Spike, one of the best celebrity foodies, is to open a pop-up restaurant. In order to get inspiration for new recipes and menus, he decides to travel to some foreign countries. With Kim Dong-joon, he travels the Baltic States. The two guys learn history and culture and experience the real local cuisine. Don Spike also goes to the United States with John Park to learn the American cuisine. From Texas to Portland, he experiences the authentic American food as the melting pot of various culture. After the journey and several days of hard-working, Don Spike is finally ready to disclose his own signature dishes. Tags
