In 1970s Korea, when both art and dreams are censored, a film director dreams of a masterpiece.

After his successful debut, Director Kim endures scathing attacks from critics who call him a specialist in trashy dramas. After finishing his latest feature ‘Cobweb’, he has vivid dreams over several days of an alternative ending to the film. Sensing that if he can just shoot those scenes as he envisioned them, a masterpiece will surely emerge, he tries to arrange just two days of additional shooting. However, the rewritten script fails to pass censorship, and his actors can’t make sense of the new ending. Between the tangled schedule, the opposition of the producer, and the collision between these fantastic scenes dancing before his eyes and the harsh conditions of reality, Director Kim feels he is about to go insane, but he pushes on regardless…

As it has done for ages, the Han River continues to pierce the very center of the capital city Seoul. But one day in the year 2000, through an unfortunate incident, a creature of an obscure nature is conceived in the waters of the river. As the creature slowly starts to grow in the depths of the river, people fail to sense signs of an impending disaster, devoting themselves to the Korea-Japan World Cup soccer finals, the Presidential elections and to their individual lives. Then, one day in 2005, in front of countless citizens taking a stroll and enjoying the weekend on the banks of the Han River, the creature reveals itself in a shocking display of horror and mass slaughter. In an instant, the riverbank is turned into a gruesome sea of blood. The main character Gang Du is a man who passes tedious days operating a snack bar next to the river. On that day of great destruction, he witnesses his one and only daughter eaten up by the creature right before his eyes. The sudden appearance unforeseen and unexpected circumstances render the government and state powerless to act. And the once-ordinary citizen Gang Du and his family are thrust into a battle with the monster to rescue Hyun Seo. On the banks of the river, which are completely closed off by the government and declared a danger zone, Gang Du and his family rush into an unstoppable showdown with the monster. ~~ Basic premise of "The Host" was derived by Bong Joon-Ho from the real life "McFarland Incident" in 2000 (a U.S. military employee discharged approximately 470 bottles of formaldehyde into the Han river).

Veteran detective In Ho receives a report from a man about an airplane terrorist attack and while investigating, he finds out that the suspect actually boarded the KI501. Despite his phobia of airplanes, Jae Hyuk decides to go to Hawaii for his daughter. At the airport, Jae Hyuk is distracted by a suspicious man with a threatening tone, walking around. The KI501 flight departs Incheon Airport and heads for Hawaii, but soon a man dies for an unknown reason, and the situation of fear and confusion spreads not only on the plane but also on the ground. Upon hearing the news, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Sook Hee formed a counter-terrorism countermeasure headquarters and convened an emergency response meeting to find a way to land the KI501 .

A baby box is a small space, where parents can leave behind their babies anonymously. Sang Hyun finds new parents for a baby left in a baby box and makes a special deal with them. He calls himself a broker of good will. Sang Hyun works with Dong Soo in this endeavor. They get involved with So Young, who placed her baby in the baby box, but has now come back for her baby. At a party, he meets lobbyist Kim Jung-A who has connections with powerful people. Kim Jung-A joins Lee Doo-Sam’s business venture. Lee Doo-Sam makes incredible profits, but he becomes restless and gets addicted to methamphetamine.

Meanwhile, Prosecutor Kim In-Goo is transferred to the Busan Prosecutors' Office. While investigating a drug case, he notices Lee Doo-Sam. He targets Lee Doo-Sam and the powerful people who took bribes from him.

Based on the Japanese Invasion, a drug king sells drugs to China and Japan and uses the money on Joseon Independence movement.

A widowed taxi driver raises his young daughter alone and works hard to pay back the hospital bills left behind by his late wife. One day, he hears that a foreigner is willing to pay a large sum for a drive from Seoul to Gwangju city and back. Not knowing that the foreigner was a German journalist, he takes the job and sets off on a journey together.

Set in the 1920's, during the Japanese occupation of South Korea, Lee Jung Chool was once a member of the Korean independence movement, but he now works as a police officer for Japan. He receives an order to take down the Korean independence group the Righteous Brotherhood.

Lee Jung Chool introduces himself to art dealer Kim Woo-Jin (Gong Yoo) and pretends to be interested in his Korean artworks. In actuality, Kim Woo-Jin is the regional leader of the Righteous Brotherhood. Both of these men are well aware of each other's true identities and intentions, but get closer to each other seeking out more information.

The Righteous Brotherhood learn there are spies within their group and attempt to clamp down on the moles. Soon, the identities of Righteous Brotherhood members are leaked and they flee to Shanghai, China. Meanwhile, Lee Jung-Chool and Japanese police officer Hashimoto (Um Tae-Goo) lead forces to Shanghai, China. There, members of the Righteous Brotherhood decide to acquire explosive for an attack on the Japanese government in Korea.

In the year of 1762, when King Yeong Jo of the Joseon dynasty's been ruling for 35 years already, Crown prince Sa Do is accused of plotting treason by his biological mother lady Yi. King Yeong Jo falls into a dilemma since he could not penalize his own son as a traitor as it would mean that he would become the father of a traitor threatening his throne, and ends up ordering Sa Do to take his own life. As Sa Do’s lieges oppose King Yeong Jo’s decision by putting their own lives at risk, King Yeong Jo locks Sa Do in a wooden rice chest to kill him.

Ryu, a young factory worker, has recently quit art school in order to look after his sister, who is dying a slow, agonizing death for want of a kidney. When a doctor tells Ryu that he is an unsuitable donor and that the chances of finding one is slim, Ryu turns to the black market. But the old lady who runs an underground organ ring cheats him, taking both his life savings and his kidney and leaving him without the kidney she promised in exchange. Compounding the tragedy, Ryu loses track of his little illicit charge during a visit to his childhood haunts, and she drowns in the river Ryu and his sister played in as kids. Dong-jin’s deep grief quickly turns to rage and he embarks on an implacable quest for vengeance. Busan, South Korea, the present day. Legendary retired gangster Yoon Doo-hun (Song Kang-ho) dreams of opening a restaurant, and enrolls in a cooking class, where he gets to know Jo Se-bin (Shin Se-kyung), 20. Doo-hun then hears that his former boss, Man-gil, has died after being hit by a car; the gang's members need to find Man-gil's will to see whom he nominated as his successor, though most of them expect it is Doo-hun. Meanwhile, Se-bin's roommate Lee Eun-jung (Esom) has become indebted to some Haeundae moneylenders, who force Se-bin, in return, to spy on Doo-hun. After Eun-jung steals a suitcase containing cocaine from the moneylenders, Se-bin is ordered to kill Doo-hun but can't bring herself to do it. Instead, Eun-jung tries to run him over with a car and subsequently disappears. Doo-hun survives and takes over as head of his old gang, intent on discovering who killed Man-gil. Among various problems, he has to contend with Baek Kyung-min (Lee Jong-hyuk), an ambitious young member of the gang, and his continuing relationship with Se-bin, who is under pressure from assassination agency head Madame Kang (Yoon Yeo-jeong) to kill him.

Nae-Kyung (Song Kang-Ho) hails from a ruined noble family. He travels around Joseon and studies physiognomy. He is able to asses a person's personality, mental state, habits and, consequently, their future, by just studying their face. He lives in seclusion with his son Jin-Hyeong (Lee Jong-Suk) and brother-in-law Paeng-Hun (Cho Jung-Seok). Nae-Kyung hopes to one day become a public officer, even though it is virtually impossible due to his family's failed background.

Sang Gil is a homicide detective whose well deserved promotion is rewarded to another one of his colleges. On yet another typical day in the field, he’s assigned a simple suicide case with a rookie female detective, Eun Yeong, as his partner. Sang Gil grudgingly starts the investigation, but the case turns out to be much more complicated as it seemed. Blinded by the chance to earn a long overdue promotion, Sang Gil continues to investigate on his own without reporting to his superiors. Meanwhile, Eun Yeong questions the odd bite mark on the victim’s body, but Sang Gil ignores her discovery and continues on. But when a random wild animal attack kills another person, Eun Yeong senses a connection between the two deaths. Without realizing the seriousness of the situation, Sang Gil stubbornly continues to investigate the case alone, and Eun Yeong reluctantly follows along. When the two discover that the bite marks on the bodies belong to the same wolfdog (a crossbreed between a dog and a wolf), they begin to realize that all the victims are strangely connected to one another.

Six years ago a mysterious shooting takes place in Seoul. The after effects of the shooting results in Lee Han Kyu losing his job at the NIS (National Intelligence Service). Six years later, Song Ji Won, an ex North Korean spy, now operates somewhere in the Seoul metropolitan area. As these two men hide their identities and work their particular angles, trouble brews again.

In 1986, in the province of Gyunggi, in South Korea, a second young and beautiful woman is found dead, raped and tied and gagged with her underwear. Detective Park Doo Man and Detective Cho Yong Koo, two brutal and stupid local detectives without any technique, investigate the murder using brutality and torturing the suspects, without any practical result. Then Detective Seo Tae Yoon from Seoul comes to the country to help the investigations and is convinced that a serial killer is killing the women. When a third woman is found dead in the same "modus-operandi", the detectives find leads of the assassin.

Nothing is more symbolic of the division of Korea into two countries as the 'Bridge of No Return' in Panmunjom, the demilitarized zone on the border between the two states. One day, a border guard is killed by a rifle bullet; the suspected marksman is a South Korean soldier, who is found wounded in the middle of no-man's-land. This incident will have grave repercussions. Both North and South Korea regard the incident as an act of deliberate provocation. The North accuses the South of having committed a 'terrorist attack', whilst South Korea suspects the North of having attempted an 'abduction'. Both sides appeal to the authorities of the neutral states (NNSC) for help and ask them to investigate the affair.

A female Swiss army captain of Korean descent is then sent to Panmunjom to investigate the death of the North Korean border guard, apparently shot in the line of duty by a South Korean guard. At first, neither army officers from the South nor communist officials from the North will cooperate - until it is obvious to all that the truth must come out to defuse a potentially explosive international incident.

North Korea's 8th Special Forces hijacks a shipment of CTX, a potent new liquid explosive, and threatens South Korea as part of a plot to re-unify the two countries.Ryu and Lee, special agents of O.P., South Korea's secret intelligence service, attempt to track down the terrorists and find the CTX.
