Set in the Song dynasty, ancient China. This series tells the legend of the famous upright official Bao Zheng, about his birth, growing up, officialdom steps and investigations of several important criminal cases.

Upon getting thrown out of his girlfriend Fujiko's apartment, Hiromi (Sorimachi) decides to head for the ocean. En route, he crosses paths with Kaito (Takenouchi), an elite employee of a large multinational trading company in Tokyo who is running away from his problems at work after losing a key client. The two stumble into a quiet B&B on the beach run by the aging surfer Masaru and his high-school-aged granddaughter Makoto. Hiromi immediately applies to work there for the summer, and Kaito is forced to join him after he loses his wallet. The two share a room, with Hiromi trying to make friends, and Kaito at first resisting, unimpressed by Hiromi's devil-may-care attitude. Slowly over the ensuing episodes, Kaito becomes more and more at home in this sleepy rural town, and begins to wonder if he should give up his pursuit of success in the big city, and try to relax, and enjoy himself more. When he returns to Tokyo to finish his work, Hiromi and Makoto come to lure him back, but when he returns to the B&B, his boss and girlfriend Sakura likewise come looking for him.

In a fierce battle against the invading army of its neighboring country Liao, Song's main force, the famous Yeung's Troop, suffers a complete defeat due to failure of prompt backup from its General in Chief Pong Loong, who is jealous of the Yeung's military honors. Later, in the investigation over the defeat, the Justice Bao finds solid evidence against Loong of his fraternization with Liao, which leads to the execution of Loong, and thus arouses hatred between the Yeung family and Loong's father, the Grand Tutor Pong.

Realizing his identity as a Yeung's offspring after being out of contact with the Yeung family for ages, Liao General Yollig Jung-Yuan returns to the land of Song for a reunion with his own birth parents. Seeing it as a chance to maliciously revenge on the Yeungs, Pong strives for the execution of Jung-Yuan. After his evil plan is destroyed by Justice Bao, Pong decides to vent his hatred on another Yeung's member Jung-Bo by framing him as a rebel, aiming to have the whole Yeung family executed as traitors.

As the war between Song and Liao becomes more intense, the female warriors of the Yeung family put aside their personal hatred and set out for safeguard against the invaders. Unknowing that the Grand Tutor Pong has fraternized with Liao, the Yeung's Army gets trapped and surrounded by the enemy and is facing a life-and-death situation....

This is a story about Bpeeyachat a young orphan that meets Monthai, the son from a rich family, during her childhood and befriends him. A car accident takes her grandmother, her last living family member, away from her and she starts living with Viyada and her family.

Monthai, who is engaged to Viyada, goes abroad for studies because he can´t stand living at home anymore because of his mother´s insane jealousy and the terrible things that happened because of it. During his time abroad, he sends many letters to his fiancee, which are not answered by her, but instead by Bpeeyachat. Viyada is more interested in getting to know other men than corresponding with or waiting for him.

Monthai´s mother gets really sick and asks for Viyada to take care of her. This is the last thing she wants to do and so Bpeeyachat goes in her place. Monthai comes back from abroad and thinks that Bpeeyachat is pretending to be Viyada, because of the money. He starts to treat her badly, but slowly starts to care for her. Shortly after, Viyada comes to his home and trouble ensures.
