“Fate and Fury” is a realistic, authentic melodrama that takes place present-day. It shows the desperate love of four people who fall into an inescapable trap due to the rage that tinges their fateful romances.

Tells of two groups of people stuck in a time loop where they keep returning to the beginning of a day or incident.

In part one, Li Shi Qing experiences death over and over again on a bus, with each loop sending her back to the bus and back in time. To get off the bus, she accidentally dragged fellow passenger Xiao He Yun into the time loop. The two must try everything to make sure the bus gets to its destination safely to close the time loop.

Unbeknownst to them, Song Bo Dao is a delivery man also stuck in a separate but connected time loop. He is tasked with finishing his deliveries for the day, but for some reason can never deliver all of them, especially a package to someone called Xiao He Yun. Along the way, he finds pets and people in need of help, and helps them over and over again every day. One of them is writer Qin Rou Rou, who is immediately taken by his story and decides to help him decipher the solution to the time loop. They begin to date and fall back in love every day as he delivers her cat food to her and re-tells her their story.

A story that follows a detective in the major crimes division of Nan Xing City Police Department. Together with a woman who has super memory, he upholds the law one case at a time in solving murders, burglaries and bringing down a narcotics manufacturing facility.

Jing Chu is a young and capable detective. Due to his repeated merits from cracking big cases, he is promoted to the position of major crimes division vice-captain at Nan Xing city and starts to work alongside his new team. Because of a murder case, he meets Yang Mian Mian, a young woman who possesses a photographic memory. He soon realizes that Mian Mian seems to have a deep connection to his father's mysterious death many years ago.

Meanwhile, a famous blogger and a member of an idol girl group die consecutively. Their cause of death is identified to be due to a medical substance. As the major crimes division launch their investigation, they uncover a dangerous conspiracy that could threaten their own lives.

A gathering of the top brass of the prefectural police headquarters, dubbed “Entaku Kaigi” or roundtable conference, is held in a special private room at Tamayoshien, the most exclusive Chinese restaurant in W Prefecture. One woman is summoned to this tremendously powerful roundtable, which is the highest decision-making body. She is an inspector called Matsunaga Nahoko. Nahoko pushes herself every day with the intention of becoming a member of this roundtable in order to pave the way for female police officers in the prefectural police which remains chauvinistic and old-fashioned. Her job is a position that can be called “police among the police” and she exposes mistakes and the truth about cases to clean up issues before they become detrimental to the prefectural police. She holds her own with female police officers in the various police precincts, making full use of her powers of observation and insight. However, none of them are easy women. Even so, Nahoko is broad-minded enough to be tolerant with an eye toward joining the Entaku Kaigi. But each woman seems to have some sort of secret…

The play mainly tells the frequent terrorist cases in Baihe Town, which flourished due to water transportation during the Republic of China: the Zodiac Heart-digging Case, the Human Flesh Bun Case, the Real Murderer Substitute for the Dead Ghost Case, the County Magistrate Murder Case, the Fiancé Murder Case, etc. Li Zhengjiu, known as "Uncle Nine", is good at investigating folk tricks, and his brother was mysteriously killed a year ago, and Uncle Nine suspects that all this is related to the terrorist case in Baihe Town

Haga Ineko stopped being a school teacher for she was about to get married. When she is suddenly dumped by her to-be husband, she loses her way, and starts drinking. One day, an old friend approaches with a job offer. She would be a substitute teacher in a class on which several teachers gave up without an apparent reason. She reluctantly takes the job only to discover that there are several brutal bullying cases inside the class. Even she eventually starts being anonymously threatened due to her opposing posture against such cases. She now has to identify and reprimand them while at the same time protecting weaker students. The word "Hagane" on the title is a nickname which comes from Haga (her surname) and Ne (from Ineko, her name), but is actually a pun with the actual word hagane (which means steel, denoting how she must be in order to resist as a teacher).

Hasumi Kayoko, the rookie investigator at the all-female Hasumi Detective Agency, always observes people and cases in a level-headed manner. She detests lies and secrets and has a strong sense of justice. Her late father worked at the city news desk of a newspaper but committed suicide 7 years ago. However, the truth lies in darkness and Kayoko’s mother, Kyoko, the agency’s director, has been secretly pursuing the facts. An incident becomes the catalyst that entwines Kayoko and the people around her, and she closes in on the truth behind her father’s death.
