Jae Yeon is a researcher in the field of artificial blood and a doctoral student. Her life is veiled. Bumped between contradiction of reality and her own ideals, she ignores the world and gets into a green house which is her hidden place. Ji Hoon is a novelist. He was caught in a plagiarism scandal and uses Jae Yeon’s case as material for his novel.

A married couple finds themselves in a dire financial situation after they lose their restaurant in a fire. The couple determined to run a restaurant again turn to crime. The wife scopes out potential targets and her husband commits marriage fraud ... Their victims include 31-year-old office lady Satsuki Tanahashi (Rena Tanaka) who lives with her parents, lonely office lady Reiko Mutsushima (Sawa Suzuki), single mom Takiko Kinoshita (Tae Kimura) who takes care of her old father and young son by herself.

Based on the life of Santetsu Yasui (December 27, 1639-November 1, 1715), appointed as the first official astronomer in the Edo Period and would go on to create the Jokyo calendar at the imperial request. 

Haiji was an elite runner, but has not competed due to a past injury. He then meets fellow elite runner Kakeru who also left running, but caused by a dispute. Their meeting inspires both young men to run again, with Haiji choosing the fabled "Hakone Ekiden" (long distance relay race). The race requires a 10 member team so Haiji and Kakeru recruits 8 others (some of whom have never even run before). Within this unlikely group of runners a bond is formed through their training and a belief that they can accomplish the impossible.

Yamazaki, who co-starred with Sakaguchi in "Kingdom," plays Chusuke, a samurai who is deeply sad and mournful when his best friend Kiyojuro Yoshioka was struck by Musashi in this work. Tadasuke leads a total of 400 people, one from Yoshioka Kazumon and 300 from Nobushi, and protects the young Yoshioka Kazumon's legitimate man, Matashichirou, and vows to defeat Musashi.
