The supporting cast lineup of FujiTV Winter 2017 drama "Daibinbou" starring Koyuki has been announced. The human comedy drama which is an original story and begins its run from 8 January 2017 in the Sundays 9pm timeslot, features Koyuki as a single mother Nanakusa Yuzuko who struggles against the irrationalities regarding money, power and love happening around her while Ito Atsushi plays her "buddy" Kakihara Shinichi who is an elite lawyer. Narita Ryo will play Kase Haruki, a capable salesman who has been working for three years in the human resources company Dimensions Of Humanity (DOH) which is also where Yuzuko works at. Despite being young, Kase is street-smart and knows about the dark sides of human nature. He joins forces with Yuzuko and Kakihara to find out the truth behind DOH's bankruptcy. Johnny's WEST member Kamiyama Tomohiro plays a newbie lawyer Kogure Yuuto who works at Kakihara's law firm and is hardworking and serious. His interaction with Kakihara will provide comedic relief in the story. Takito Kenichi will play DOH's accounting department's manager Asaoka Reiji who is quiet and even uses honoriffics with his subordinates thus has the reputation of being a gentleman in the company. He knows everything about the company since it was established and has an unknown side to others. Okuda Eiji plays Tenma Toshiaki who is the president of DOH and is the benefactor of Yuzuko since he was the one who made it easier for her to work, given her single mother status. However, with the declaration of DOH's bankruptcy which is due to an incident, he becomes despondent about life.

A divorced single mother Shimada Kana who is a web writer, a single company employee Shudo Yuri and a very popular and beautiful jewellery designer Deguchi Nao start sharing an apartment. While the three of them have totally different personalities, jobs and status, they soon get on terms where they can voice the feelings and troubles that they have never been able to tell anyone.

The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl is a Chinese folk tale. The tale of the cowherd and the weaver girl is a love story between Zhinü (織女; the weaver girl, symbolizing the star Vega) and Niulang (牛郎; the cowherd, symbolizing the star Altair). Their love was not allowed, thus they were banished to opposite sides of the heavenly river (symbolizing the Milky Way). Once a year, on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month, a flock of magpies would form a bridge to reunite the lovers for one day. There are many variations of the story. The earliest-known reference to this famous myth dates back to over 2600 years ago, which was told in a poem from the Classic of Poetry. The tale of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl has been celebrated in the Qixi Festival in China since the Han dynasty. It has also been celebrated in the Tanabata festival in Japan, and in the Chilseok festival in Korea. The story was selected as one of China's Four Great Folktales by the "Folklore Movement" in the 1920s—the others being the Legend of the White Snake, Lady Meng Jiang, and Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai—but Idema (2012) also notes that this term neglects the variations and therefore diversity of the tales, as only a single version was taken as the true version.

Ahn Nae-Sang runs a special effects company. He has a wife, Yoon Yu-Seon, and two children - a son named Jong-Suk and a daughter named Soo-Jung. Jong-Suk attends high school and is a talented ice hockey player, while Soo-Jung studies abroad. It seems they have nothing to worry about. Things change on the day Soo-Jung is scheduled to come back to South Korea. Nae-Sang discovers that his friend and vice president of his company has run away with the company's money. Now, Nae-Sang is targeted by various moneylenders. Nae-Sang first picks up his wife Yu-Seon at the massage shop and his son Jong-Suk at a ice hockey game. He then goes to the airport to pick up Soo-Jung. The family then rus away from the moneylenders, but they have no where to go or know what to do..... Meanwhile, Yu-Seon has two younger brothers Kye-Sang and Ji-Suk. Kye-Sang is a public health doctor. He used to work at the best hospital, but quit his job due to a conflict with his own beliefs. Ji-Suk is a gym teacher at a high school. The drama is narrated by Lee Juck who is is proctologist and a friend of Kye-Sang.
