After Kasturi gives birth to yet another still-born child, her mother-in-law, with the assistance of a nurse, switches the dead child with one of two twins that impoverished Indira has just given birth to. The latter names her child Narsingh, who grows up to be a singer/dancer, and falls in love with Anju, the daughter of a DGP. While the second child is brought up by upper caste, Kasturi and Govind, performs poojas at a variety of weddings and funerals, and is in love with Chandrakala. Mysterious worm-like aliens fall from the sky. They penetrate through the ears or nose into human beings and live off their brain while dominating the body. Now with human appearance, the parasites live among humans. Shinichi Izumi (Shota Sometani) is an ordinary high school student. His best friend is Satomi Murano (Ai Hashimoto). One day, Shinichi Izumi is attacked by a parasite, but he is able to fight off the parasite before it takes over his brain. The parasite though lives within his right hand. Shinichi Izumi and the parasite now live together. Shinichi believes the parasites are responsible for countless murders all around the world and he feels responsible, because he knows the truth. Meanwhile, Ryoko Tamiya (Eri Fukatsu) is a teacher that starts her new post at the same high school where Shinichi attends. She has been taken over by a parasite and comes to observe Shinichi.

Their last assignment was more than 20 years ago. Naomi, who is suspicious of her neighbour, Takanashi Yoichiro, establishes contact with their former boss, Tokita. Knowing that Chika is Yoichiro’s daughter, she tries to find a solution that will not hurt Yuta. However, Tokita and his subordinate, Shichimi, stop at nothing to force her to proceed with the mission. She and Reiko team up again to uncover the true identity of Yoichiro in an attempt to stop a crime.
