Narumi is a remote and peaceful island (modeled after the real-life island of Hateruma) that has much more need for a doctor than for police. But one day, Shirase Ryo, a policeman gets assigned there, to the disappointment of the residents. However, as he gradually becomes friends with the people living there, he begins to help them address their own problems and concerns for the future of the island.

One day, out of the blue, she is visited by Erena (Katase Nana), the rich daughter of a major food company, who orders Akane to move out at once because her father had borrowed money against his restaurant. Though feeling disappointed, Akane makes up her mind to close the store. But when her father's friend, Kurogane (Jinnai Takanori), shows her "Ittetsu", a grilling plate that Akane's father cherished, it reignites her passion towards teppanyaki. In order to protect the restaurant, she embarks on a journey with Shinta (Tsukamoto Takashi) to search for her father, but wherever she goes, she ends up getting involved in culinary battles.

Qing Shi Huang Fei is an adaptation of a novel written by Mu Rong Yan Er.Set in the chaotic and blood-stained "Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms" period, the story follows Ma Fu Ya (Ruby Lin), the beautiful princess of the Kingdom of Chu, who seeks to take revenge and revive her perished state.

Shun (Fukuda Saki), who has tattoos and piercings all over her body, is the third generation descendant of a Japanese orphan left behind in China during World War II. They infiltrate a criminal gang to investigate, and find illicit human drug experiments and slave treatment staring them in the face. They grow to trust one another and mature through this experience.

Kanbayashi Megumi (Kanjiya Shihori) is a freelance writer who has not had a boyfriend in five years. She will turn 30 in three months and starts to panic about marriage. One day, she is brought a proposal by a magazine editor whom she is on friendly terms with. It is a proposal about “trying to be hit on while eating” at restaurants suggested by single male candidates. Megumi spends the majority of her fees on eating out alone and has vast knowledge regarding restaurants. Thinking that she will not only be able to eat delicious meals for free, but also have a chance to meet men, Megumi readily agrees. If a man catches her fancy, she can even let herself be won over. Megumi begins to recruit men for the rather offensive sounding title, “Pick-up meals ~ Take me to a meal!”
