Life Is Beautiful is a story about tracing one’s first love and finding real love in the process. It follows the story of Oh Se Yeon, a devoted wife to her husband Jin Bong and a doting mother to their children.

She suddenly learns that she no longer has much time left to live. As if trying to complete a puzzle in her life, she makes a strange request to her husband to help her find her first love. Although reluctant at first, Jin Bong finally gives in to his wife’s absurd final wish.

Together, they embark on a journey to search for Se Yeon’s first love. However, the only information Se Yeon has is his name. Their trip turns out to be a bittersweet journey which allowed them to recall their precious moments in the past and to create fresh memories to keep.

On an isolated island in July, 1999, little Kappei and other young boys are trained in martial arts mukaisappuken by their master. Their goal is to save mankind from the end of the world, which was predicted by Nostradamus.

In 2022, the planet has not been destroyed. Their master gathers Kappei and the other trainees. He decides to disband the group and instructs them to disperse. Kappei goes to the peaceful modern city Tokyo.

13 years ago, the Abe family moved to a town in the suburbs, surrounded by nature. Yuko is now in show business. Several years later, Yuko (Nana Komatsu) transfers to a large entertainment company. Yuko, though, feels an uncomfortable imbalance between her public image and her real self. During this time, she meets a dancer, Seiko (Mackenyu), who marches to the beat of his own drum, and falls in love with him. The nightmare begins.
