Since her birth, Ah Xun (Chen Yi Rong), as well as her sister Yicheng, have been suffering from a heart disease which makes them unable to run or do a lot of activities that other kids do. Because of this she is picked on by all her schoolmates. Her only friend is a boy named Qing Chuan. Always together, Ah Xun is saddened when Qing Chuan tells her that he and his family are moving to America. Unwilling to never see each other again, Qing Chuan gives her a glass bottle filled with a piece of lavender as a token that he will never forget her, and promises her that he will meet back up with her 10 years later on Ah Xun's 20th birthday. Ten years pass and Ah Xun still has not forgotten her first love Qing Chuan, even though her boss's son Xiao Tong is in love with her, and Ah Xun waits for the day when she can see him again. Qing Chuan returns to Taiwan, but this time known as the famous singer named Leo. Leo has not forgotten about her either, and after a few misunderstandings, the two of them meet back up and start a relationship. But with the presence of Xiao Tong, Leo's girlfriend Maggie, and Ah Xun's illness, they wonder if they will be able to stay together.

Kenta Date, a high-school student, is the ultimate champion of an arcade video game called "Megaranger". He belongs to the Cybernetics club, a group of like minded friends from his school. Koichiro Endo, Shun Namiki, Chiasato Jogaseski, and Miku Imamura are also members of Cybernetics. The International Network of Excel-Science and Technology (INET), the games creators, invite Kenta and the Cybernetics club members to tour the INET laboratories. Following a short tour of the INET HQ buildings, the company is attacked by the Neijirejia, an evil force led by Dr. Hinelar on a mission to conquer the current reality. Dr. Kubota, INET's chief scientist, reveals that Megaranger was more than only a simple video game but actually a combat simulator to identify potential recruits for a super fighting team to combat the Neijirejia. While the INET headquarters (HQ) is destroyed by the Neijirejia warrior Yugande, Dr. Kubota gives Kenta and his friends devices known as 'Digitizers'. By entering the key-code "3-3-5" and shouting "Install, Megaranger!", Date, Endo, Namiki, Jogasaki and Imamura transform into the Megarangers to fight the Nejirejia.

Paboo (Margie) is a spoiled/ rebellious woman who never puts any effort into doing her best at anything. Her parents became divorced when she was young. Her father remarried and had another daughter. After spending 10 years studying abroad, Paboo returned back to Thailand but didn't even finish any of her studies. Her father was very angry. She didn't know where to go so she contacted her mother, who she has lost touched with for a very long time. Her mother felt guilty for abandoning her daughter so she helped Paboo by getting her to stay at her new husband's family hotel suite. Paboo thought it would be easy to find a job, but with her lack of experience and no degree, it was difficult for her to become hired. Meanwhile, we have Satayu played by Great. He is a businessman who is very strict about his work. Satayu is the President of his grandfather's company. Many of his family members envy him because he isn't even his grandfather's biological grandson but he gets to have the highest position in the family. That's because all of his uncle's children are of no good use. Although Satayu's mother passed away while giving birth to him, his grandfather thinks that he brings him good luck and good fortune because after he was born, his business became much better after almost going bankrupt. Meanwhile, Satayu hired an architect name Buree, played by Puen Khanin, to help him reconstruct his family's restaurant that he was trying to reopen. He was searching for a manager for his restaurant. He bumped into Paboo at his family's suite and thought she was one of those people who sneaked to stay for free. However, when he found out who she was, he allowed her to stay and hired her to work for him to reconstruct his restaurant. When Paboo's father heard that she had gotten a job working with Satayu, he was very proud. Basically, Paboo, Satayu, and Buree will somehow form a bond while working with each other. Buree crushes on Paboo because he likes working with her. Although she doesn't always agree with him, he likes debating with her. They've met before too but Paboo doesn't recall. Satayu had also met and was fond of Paboo before as well. In the end, Paboo will have to decide who she is truly in love with. Who will win her heart? Will it be the bubbly and charismatic Buree? Snagging a new job at Heart Sports' sales department, Kanji transfers to the Tokyo office, where he meets his new colleague Rika and is reunited with his best friends from home—Mikami and Satomi. Mikami, Kanji, and Satomi have been friends since they were children, having grown up in the same small town. Mikami is Kanji's best male friend and Satomi is their platonic female friend whom both Mikami and Kanji have had a crush on since high school. After seeing Mikami forcedly kissing Satomi, Kanji felt despair, however, then quickly developed strong affection for Rika who was always energetic, funny, encouraging and caring. Their relationship was rather unstable to begin with, given Kanji's history with Satomi as well as Rika's (not so) secret affair with her and Kanji's boss Sendo [this affair was much more of a determinant in the original manga than in the drama, when Rika got pregnant bearing Sendo's child (not shown in the drama version), which was one of the reasons why Kanji chose Satomi over Rika]. In the meantime, denied by Satomi who thought Mikami was just playing with her, Mikami's attempts on pursuing his med school classmate Nagasaki had also been with much frustration.
