Having the same stylistic tone as the first season, Closer to You 2 follows Han Fei as she time travels to her university days and reunites with her boyfriend Wu Jinghao who was supposed to be lying unconscious in a hospital bed. They continue their love story while trying to solve the mysteries of fate.

Ten years ago, Wu Jinghao fell into a coma to save Han Fei; and she has been waiting for him to wake up ever since. By chance, the 28-year-old Han Fei travels back in time to the commencement ceremony at the university campus. If things were as it once was, Wu Jinghao should've been in the hospital. Instead, Wu Jinghao has lost part of his memories. Han Fei's mind is burning with questions yet she walks into Wu Jinghao's life once again to continue their romance. In the process, she discovers that there is no escape from fate.

Sugiyama (Ikki Sawamura) used to be the most popular copywriter at the largest advertising agency. He quit his job there to open up his own advertising agency, but his company doesn't do very well. He decides to move his company to a dead shopping district of a port town in decline. Even though the port town is lifeless and in serious decline, people go to see Sugiyama with small requests. Sugiyama begins his struggle as a small advertising agency.

DRAMA

The drama is based on the same-titled manga which showcases a very unorthodox hero that uses every dirty little trick to resolve the open cases. Kurokouchi Keita is the black sheep of the police force. He works alone, and doesn't think twice about extorting money from the dirty politicians by getting hold of their achilles heels. Using the money and whatever bits of information acquired through underhanded means, he gets closer and closer to the ultimate unresolved crime of the Showa era; the 300 million bank heist. One day, the new rookie Seike Mayo, is assigned as Kurokouchi's partner. Excellent, but naive, she is the exact opposite of Kurokouchi, but nonetheless, the duo combi relentlessly chase down the criminals.

The story continues after Qin Zhan and Yu Chen have conquered the pugilistic world in the gaming realm of New Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils.

After being transported into an online game and overcoming many battles as RPG characters, Qin Zhan (Kenny Kwan) and Yu Chen (Sun Xuening) finally gain absolute control as they are seated at the center of power with martial arts skills second to none. However, they begin to feel a sense of boredom. At the same time, they discover that along with their reality, there exists many self-awakening gaming worlds that are numbered in the thousands.
