A "devil" website connected four unrelated ordinary individuals by giving each of them a tiny amount of super power to satisfy their needs. When they discover others who had signed up on the same site were dying mysteriously, they worry they may be next. They start to probe into who gave them the powers. Their investigation points them to a deadly "human puzzle" experiment in which they are the subjects and organ donors for a new life. While Xia Tian succeeds, he realizes that someone intentionally plotted his escape. Under the orders of Peter, Xia Tian and Zhang Li head to Bangkok to begin their investigation where they encounter many mysteries - a missing plane, a long-awaited reunion and a huge conspiracy.

Set during the Tang Dynasty of China, Can't Buy Me Love tells the story of the Third Princess, Princess Chiu Yeung (Charmaine Sheh), of the Tang Emperor (Samuel Kwok), who is beautiful but very unreasonable, and, as such, no one wants to marry her. The Kam family is the largest gold manufacturer in the grand capital Chang'an, but because they are deceived, the business runs into troubles. The Princess brings Szeto Ngan Ping (Fala Chen), with her to the Kam family, who has been awarded "Best Servant" by the Concubine Dowager Chui (Susan Tse) and later became wife of Ding Yau Wai (Kenneth Ma). The Princess originally decides to leave the house, but when she misunderstands that the Kam family speaks negatively of her, she stubbornly stays. Later, she and Kam Tuo Luk fall in love. When the Kam family is convicted of a capital offence, she divorces Kam Tuo Luk to secretly save the Kam family.

This is a love story between Akira Kuroiwa, a 15-year-old boy who knows nothing of love, and Hijiri Suenaga, his new 25-year-old homeroom teacher. One fated summer, Akira begins to realize he has feelings for Hijiri, but Hijiri has a long distance fiancee. The story follows the pair over the course of several years.

The story begins with an engagement ring that was left in the MRT carriage. It should have been a romantic day for Yi Zhi to propose to Lisa, but the ring was lost by Yi Zhi, the marriage proposal may be disrupted, and in the process of retrieving the ring, they began to re-examine what love meant to each other.
