Inspector Bo Fei Fung is suspected of being involved in criminal activities and betraying the police force after her husband Lau Wai Yi mysteriously disappears and becomes a prime suspect of corruption as a police detective himself. Through a series of cases based on real high-profile crimes from Hong Kong, she has to prove her innocence to fellow detective Kei Tak Sing and solve the mystery behind her husband's disappearance.

Chomjan is a prickle-fish vendor who sells her pickled fish using her family's secret recipe in order to support her sister, Methinee, study abroad. Her main helper is Gloy, an orphan who loves her like a sister. When Methinee returns, she brings along a boyfriend who is unaware of her true lifestyle. Ashamed of her life and poverty, Methinee asks Chomjan to lie about her occupation in order to not embarrass Methinee in front of her boyfriend and his family. A request which brings Chomjan a lot of sadness.

Through the missing person case, Nitta Masaki and Izumi Sae soon get closer to each other. Nitta Masaki doesn’t want to admit that his feelings for her has turned into love. Meanwhile, Izumi Sae has no doubt that her feelings for him is love. They then part ways.
