The story revolves around Li Wei's grandson Li Chuan Wei. While investigating a case, Li Chuan Wei accidentally meets a vagrant who looks just like him. Li Chuan Wei is a martial arts expert in the imperial palace. He gets injured during an investigation and ends up switching identities with Zhao San. Li Chuan Wei takes the opportunity to infiltrate the anti-Qing Dynasty movement and gets entrusted with an important task after gaining their trust. On the other hand, Zhao San enters the palace as Emperor Qianlong's personal bodyguard. Despite having no background in martial arts, he learns how to deal with important figures like Qianlong, Jia Qing, and He Kun. While they come from different backgrounds and often resort to different methods, Li Chuan Wei and Zhao San ultimately come together with one goal to thwart the rebellion against the throne. Along the way, they rekindle a sense of brotherhood that was once lost.

Megumi Noda, or "Nodame" is a piano student at Momogaoka College of Music. An extremely talented pianist who wants to be a kindergarten teacher, she prefers playing by ear rather than reading the music score. She is messy and disorganized, takes baths several days apart and loves to eat, sometimes stealing her friend’s lunchbox when it is filled with delicacies. Shinichi Chiaki, is Momogaoka’s top student. Born into a musical family, he is talented in piano and violin and has secret ambitions to become a conductor. An arrogant multi-lingual perfectionist who once lived abroad in the music capitals of the world as a young boy, he feels mired in Japan because of a childhood phobia. They meet by accident. Nodame quickly falls in love, but it takes much longer for Chiaki to even begin to appreciate Nodame’s unusual qualities. Their relationship causes them both to develop and grow. Because of Nodame, Chiaki got the opportunity to lead a student orchestra and begins to have a broader appreciation of people's musical abilities. Because of Chiaki, Nodame faces her fears and enters a piano competition. Opportunities open up as both begin taking risks, stretching themselves far more than they ever thought possible.

A year has pass and Golf and Mike are a famous duo. Pat and Ple are still their girlfriends though keeping it secret from the public is making Pat unhappy which causes a strain in Golf and Pat's relationship. Things are made worse when Pat gets into accident and doesn't remember Golf. Golf does everything possible to make Pat remember but fails cause she starts remembering the bad times only. Pat decided to start over her life and falls for a guy named March and starts dating him. Though the more she hangs out with Golf, she is becoming confused about her feelings. In addition, Mike has been having headaches and fainting so he decided to go to the hospital where he learns that he has a brain tumor. Mike hides the truth from his girlfriend Ple so she doesn't be sad, but she assumes that he is cheating on her cause he is becoming secretive and suddenly disappears a lot which causes problems in their relationship. Will Pat remember Golf and their good times together? Will Ple believe that Mike isn't cheating on her? Will the gang find out about Mike health problem?

In 2013, Ko Osawa (Sho Sakurai) works as sous-chef at a first-class hotel. He cooks French cuisine. His job at the hotel requires him to cook for hundreds of customers, but Ko Osawa prefers to cook for a single customer. One day, he happens to see a pamphlet inquiring about a chef available to work at a diplomat office. Ko ends up taking the job and quits his job at the hotel. 2 years later, Ko now works as the chef at the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam. Ko then takes part in a cook-off against the chef at the French Embassy.
