Wu Lin, a modern day freelance writer, agrees to help a friend finish their novel, but because she dislikes all the palace and harem intrigue she decides to take the plot in a completely new direction, and soon finds herself traveling into the book! Here she is now Wu Yu Lin, the arrogant and unwanted wife of Song Wei, the Lord of Donglin City.

As Wu Yu Lin she begins to attract Song Wei's attention with all her newly strange, "abnormal" antics; she even rescues him several times and they begin to fall for each other. This is a love story between a professor and a policewoman. This home comedy tells the story of Kyoichiro (Tachi Hiroshi) and his teenage daughter Koume (Aragaki Yui). One day, the two ride a train together after visiting Kyoichiro's mother-in-law. After the huge success of the 1995 hit drama Vampire Expert, ATV splashed more money on the sequel the following year. Reprising his fan-favorite role of Taoist exorcist Mo Siu Fong, Lam Ching Ying returned to lead a star-studded cast that includes Kiki Sheung, Frankie Lam, Mang Hoi, Eric Wan, Kristy Yang, Ching Tung, Berg Ng, Lo Lieh, and child star Cheng Pak Lam. Toji, a manager of a food section in a medium-sized department store, has to put up with a tough boss that makes every day a real struggle.
