Hanasaki Shinichiro is a former police detective who now runs the “Smiling Garden” day nursery in downtown Tokyo. To help local families, who have difficulties such as working single parents and child poverty, the nursery has low fees and can keep children overnight if necessary. However, this means it’s always on the brink of bankruptcy. To protect it, Hanasaki works as a private detective by night, solving the various cases that pour in each day.

‘Dalja's Spring' is the story of Dalja, a 33-year old single at a crossroad of whether to remain single or get married before she gets older. The drama aims to comically and candidly portray the reality and undying pursuit of romance of a thirty something single woman. The love triangle of Dalja, Taebong and Gijoong brews conflicts over love versus marriage. Taebong, a hunk six years younger than Dalja, works as substitute dates and becomes Dalja's fake boyfriend. Gijoong is the type who dreams of an ideal and rational courtship. The drama also highlights the life and work of women in their thirties through Dalja who is a talented managing director at a home shopping channel.

As a 24 year old woman, Ogata Makoto doesn't like to show her true self or draw attention to herself in her private life or when she is at work. This is because she doesn't want to be disliked. One night, Ogata Makoto has an accident. The accident causes her to lose memory about herself. She finds a male ring in her bag, but she doesn't remember who she was going to give the ring to. Soon, three men appear in front of Ogata Makoto and the ring fits perfectly on all three of the men. One of them proclaims himself as her ex-lover, one man claims to be her only male friend, and the other man claims to be her man of fate. Each of them have their own lies.
