Shek Chi Hong is now the number one "God of Gamblers" in the gambling world. He is a genius in gambling but prefers a quiet life. However, he can’t change his own destiny as long as he hasn’t retired from the gambling world.

Knowing that Hung Fung's gambling skills have improved tremendously over the years, Cheung Tin Jing resorts to inviting Chi Hong to help him. Chi Hong refuses to step into the gambling world again due to the promise to his wife. It is not until Cheung Tin Jing fakes a heart attack that Ah Kong decides to help him finally. There, he meets Cheung Tin Jing's only daughter, Cheung Sik Yu and her childhood friend, Dik San.

However, after his helping in Tin Ding winning over Mun Long, this in turn causes his wife's death. Since then, he becomes disillusioned in life.

In this drama based on basketball (and somewhat on the anime Slam Dunk), a Taiwanese national team basketballer, Yan Xing Shu plays the lead Duan Chen Feng, whose world consists of his 2 greatest loves: basketball and his girlfriend, Xiao Xi (Angela Zhang). They find their perfect world shattered, however, when on the day of his most important match, Duan Chen Feng has an accident on his way to the competition, and paralyses Angel (Margaret Lin), who just happens to be the sister of Iceman (David Chen), his biggest opponent since they were young. To shoulder his responsibilty, Chen Feng leaves school and his basketball so that he can take care of Angel. Xiaoxi, who does not know the reason behind Chen Feng's leaving school and giving up his beloved basketball, is heartbroken and bewildered. At about the same time, the other lead male character Tai Zi, or Prince (Tony Sun of 5566), enters the plot. He falls in love with Xiao Xi's plucky and determined character.chen feng's gentleness to angel causes angel to have feelings for him....how complicated can this love triangle be?

The story follows a team of investigators from the Organized Crime and Triad Bureau (OCTB) unit of the Royal Hong Kong Police Force.

Tim Sir and the police force are in charge of solving murder cases. Siu Yau is the head of her department. Sam is a doctor whose responsibility is to find out the victims' causes of death and other health-related jobs. Ding Ding is an investigator who helps to solve cases. In between these cases, the characters of this story have a lot of personal issues to deal with. Yvonne finds that her husband has been cheating on her because she does not want to have children. Kong Jai develops a crush on Ding Ding, but soon finds out that she likes Sam. Tim Sir's wife, Charlie dies after being accidentally poisoned by a nurse. Although Tim says he is not ready for another serious relationship, he develops feelings for Siu Yau and vice versa. Sam meets a young girl named Mon, who has been taking many wrong paths in her life and he is helping her to get her life back on track. Sam writes books about crime-solving and murder, which Mon enjoys very much. What Sam does not know is that Mon has strong feelings for him. Mon is jealous of Ding Ding because Sam is dating her. But one particular day, the police force is called to a very strange case. The murder victims have been killed in the same way the victims were in Sam's books! When the force begins to suspect Mon - they find her dead. Who is this strange serial killer and why are they killing people following Sam's books?
