The drama is a love story between a tomboyish woman pretending to be a man and a young food empire mogul.An Shao Cheng is a second generation restaurateur who falls in love with an ordinary looking but extraordinarily skilled chef named Xin Duo Duo.

Featuring Yosuke Eguchi as a young emergency room doc and Nanako Matsushima as his unappreciative assistant also fails. It is just one medical emergency after another interrupted by bits of silliness such as the scene where a doctor accidentally smokes the marijuana cigarettes confiscated from a tattooed character while the staff is busy helping the thug "give birth" to the dozens of heroin-filled condoms he has swallowed.

The story of a 15-year-old junior high school student. Hiroshi transfers from a private school to a public one in order to emulate the delinquents in his manga books. On his first day, he's challenged by the school's most notorious delinquent, Iguchi Tatsuya, and ends up beaten and caught by a detective. He finally gains recognition by winning a one-on-one fight against a student from another school, and joins the ranks of delinquents, leading a life of fighting against other schools.

Unable to live or die due to certain circumstances, Koda Sumomo visits Auberge Gilda which is a five-minute walk from Cape Shide, a famous suicide spot. She listens to its owner Shiraishi Yuko and ends up working with the employee Koreeda Ibuki and chef Omori Zen for three months. Guests with all sorts of circumstances come to this auberge at the farthest reaches, including an actress being criticized for reports of an affair, and a man faced with divorce on the day he reached the mandatory retirement age. Through their stay at Auberge Gilda, they become aware of life and are revitalized. Seeing this with her own eyes, Sumomo also has a change of heart. However, she learns about Yuko’s secret.

At the Playboys Private Detective Agency, all the members are men older than 55. The director of the private detective agency is an ex-detective. The members of the agency have varied backgrounds like a former taxi driver, physician and ex-Olympic athlete. Koichiro Iwase (Katsumi Takahashi) worked in the sales department of a consumer electronics company, but he now works as a private detective. He tries to solve clients' request, while sometimes cooperating and sometimes opposing the other members of the Playboys Private Detective Agency.

Asami Sae is a housewife, married to a doctor, and has two daughters. Her family lives within the exclusive SKY CASTLE neighborhood. She works hard to get her eldest daughter into the most prestigious high school, and she will do anything to accomplish that goal. Her neighbors in SKY CASTLE include Minamisawa Izumi, Nikaido Kyoko, and Natsume Misaki. All of these women try to send their children to the same elite high school. They hear that the son of their neighbor, Saejima Kaori, has passed the entrance exam to the high school that they desperately want their children to attend. They are eager to hear from Saejima Kaori on what was used to help her son pass the exam. Saejima Kaori reveals the existence of exam coordinator Kujo Ayaka. Kujo Ayaka only tutors two students a year and charges an extraordinary fee, but she gets her students into any school that they want. She boasts a 100% success rate.

Eighteen-year-old Nawa is a rural boy who grew up with the river and competitive longboat rowing. He has a dream of rowing his father's boat to provincial championship victory, but an issue brings him to stop playing the sport and separate from his friends.

When Nawa starts his first year of university, he meets Pai, a fellow science major with a determination to become a rower for the national canoeing team and a dream to eventually compete in the Olympics. Meeting Pai leads Nawa to take up the paddle again. When by happenstance Nawa joins a canoeing club, Nawa feels he begins to know himself again.
