This drama is about secrets. It is an exploration into the trials and tribulations of people who live with secrets. These secrets drive the four characters desire to find love and exact 

This story is adapted from real events. The defending team in the story is the main member of an African bodyguard company composed of Chinese. They not only face the separation of flesh and blood from their relatives far away, but also face the test of life and death when performing tasks. So Captain Yang Dong decided to take the defending team on a long journey home. Back to the embrace of their home country, China. On the way home, the defending team encountered armed bandits slaughtering civilians. Captain Yang Dong led everyone to rescue the innocent refugee and girl Nata. After that, the defending team fought bloody battles with the bandits, but they still failed to get rid of the bandits' pursuit and interception. At a critical moment, the captain Yang Dong replied strongly when facing the vicious threat of the bandit leader: We will not bow to evil.

While going back to Kinmen island during summer, Ah Kwan (Bryant Chang) learns from the internet about a pretty girl called Chen Wen Qing (Shara Lin), who emerged champion in the National Piano Competition. One day he coincidentally meets up with her. For both this is the best summer holiday they ever had in their lives. Before going back Wen Qing promises to Ah Kwan she would email him everyday and coming next summer, she would find him in Kinmen again. 

Mun Ho and Seon Yeong are a couple engaged to be married who pull over at a rest stop on their way to meeting Mun Ho’s parents. When Mun Ho returns to the car with coffee, he finds the car door flung open in the pouring rain with the engine still running – his fiancée is nowhere to be found. Her cell phone is switched off. All that’s left behind is her hair clip on the floor of the restroom.

In a desperate attempt to find his missing fiancée, Mun Ho rushes back to her apartment only to discover that it’s been cleared out. Trying to reach a co-worker or someone with information, he finds her employers don’t even exist. As he delves deeper, Mun Ho begins to realize that the woman he loves is not at all who he thought her to be.

Mun Ho enlists his cousin, former detective, Jong Geun, for help. While initially accepting the job to earn some extra cash, Jong Geun finds that piecing together the shards of this woman’s puzzle produces a horrifying picture.
