Yuji Hongo (Ryo Nishikido) has a wife and two kids. The family lives near the Tokyo Sky Tree tower. He once dreamed of becoming a musician in his college days, but eventually settled into a job as the manager of a human resource department for a mid-sized manufacturing company. His job is to tell other employees that they have been laid off. It is now Yuji Hongo turns to become informed he has been laid off. Meanwhile, his wife Sachiko (Asami Mizukawa), who had taken the opportunity of her first pregnancy to marry Yuji Hongo, struggles under the load of working several part-time jobs to try to support their family of four. As their family seems to be fraying at the edges, their daughter Mako, one day, brings home a small puppy they name "Sky Tree." The dog helps to brings the family together once again ...

When Kyoichiro comes home, he hears that his 14-year-old son Kyosuke was stabbed to death. The person who killed Kyosuke turns out to be 13-year-old Mitsuru. The two boys were classmates. Due to Japan's juvenile law, Mitsuru will not receive commensurate punishment for his crime. The Kumagawa Hospital which is located in the outskirts of town. Ogami Runa joined as a nursing staff 2 weeks ago. One night, with the lights all turned low, her fellow colleague, Suzuki Ayako is terrified out of her wits when a woman dressed in a school uniform (sailor) with blood dripping all over her, appears before her. A few days later, Runa's childhood friend, Sakai Manami who works at a movie production company, calls her out for a meet-up. Ever since she was a child, when she saw the ghost of her dead schoolmate, Runa realises that she could sense and see the ghosts around her. Bullied by her other classmates, Manami is the only one who had befriended her. Due to her ability, Runa always tries to ignore talks of ghosts sightings by other nurses and patients. Amidst all these, the medical intern Kumagawa Asahi, whose father owns the hospital, has a strange fascination with the mysterious old hospital wing's top floor. One night, Runa goes to the old hospital wing to fetch some supplies, and she hears a voice calling out her name. Entranced, Runa follows the sound and goes up to the top floor. She bumps into the wall at the end of the corridor, and the sound seems to come from within. The story focuses on a group of mothers who all have children around the same age. These women form a bond through sharing their anxieties about raising their children, each coming from a different background. However, the friendship between the five women also turns to jealousy and betrayal, due to the fact that their children are all taking similar entrance exams for elementary school. Anne plays the protagonist Yuko, whose set of values as a woman, wife, and mother have been overturned, and she struggles to climb back from her fallen state. Meanwhile, her four fellow mothers are hiding serious problems at home, despite their appearances.
