Satoshi Kubo has been dubbed the "God of Death" since he was a child. Whether relatives or friends, as long as they get close to him, they are bound to suffer a catastrophe that is enough to lose their lives. Over time, in order to protect friends and relatives, Satoshi gradually got used to the life of being alone. By chance, Satoshi rescued a girl named Mizuki Sawai. Satoshi's silence and mystery gradually attracted the strange personality Mizuki, who launched a fierce attack on her. In order to protect Mizuki, Satoshi decided to hide his throbbing feelings. However, Mizuki's bravery and perseverance allowed Satoshi to finally accept this dangerous feeling. He hoped that true love could break the curse on him. The good times didn't last long, Mizuki contracted cancer and eventually died in pain. Satoshi could no longer find a reason to continue living, he decided to end his life.

Ji-Yeon (Park Eun-Hye) works as a tollgate ticket girl and tonight she's got the night shift. All of a sudden all the lights go out and a mysterious black car drives up to her booth. Classical music can be heard from inside the car and a female hand reaches out and gives Ji-yeon the ticket. When the car has driven away, Ji-yeon notices that the ticket is stained with blood. Apparently, it is said that on every fourth year on February 29th, a murder occurs near the tollgate. Could Ji-Yeon be the next victim?

One day, Eun-Soo, a librarian, sees Jun-Oh tearing off a certain page of several books and accuses him of vandalism. Soon, she discovers that there's a complex story behind his actions. It occurs that Jun-Oh's girlfriend, who was a bibliophile and checked out books regularly at the library, had suddenly left him with only a mysterious note that says "Look up page 198". Because of the strange note, Jun-Oh goes to the same library and tears out page 198 from every book he comes in touch. Seeing Jun-Oh's despair for not knowing why the woman he loved had left him, Eun-Soo starts to help him find the hidden message on page 198.

A broadcasting station employee discovers a lost cassette recording gathering dust in a storage area and brings it to a radio show hosted by an idol member. On the tape, there is a faint humming sound of a girl.

Concerned about a missing group member, the idol's manager employs a private investigator to find him within three days, just in time for a big concert. The investigator interviews each individual in the hopes of solving the mystery.

As the inquiry proceeds, however, the idol members succumb to a terrible curse, falling to terror one by one. As the detective examines the identity of the mystery voice on the recording, it becomes clear that the cursed cassette tape holds the answer to their problem.

Before Amao is slaughtered, he escapes slaying his captors in the process. In the chaos, Amao accidentally swallows a cellphone with the location of 1 million dollars. When the rumors of this spread, the locals are split in two: some afraid for their lives, others set out to capture and kill the crocodile at any cost.

Akai Ito is an movie coming out in December of 2008. It's based on a popular mobile phone novel written by Mei and its plot will continue a story started and ended on a Fuji TV drama which is scheduled to air at around the same time. Mei has been in love with Yuya all her life. They've grown up together. But when they reach their second year of middle school, Yuya suddenly professes his love for her older sister, Haruna. Struggling to rebound from her decade-long crush, Mei finds comfort in the close camaraderie of her school friends, Taka, Mia, Yuri, Natsu, Mitsu and Sara and then meets a reticent and gentle-natured boy named Atsushi. The two begin to realize that they share many things in common that seem to transcend mere coincidence: the same birthday (February 29th, 1992) and a previous encounter when they were both 8. Feeling a bond of fate, they grow closer. But destiny can have a dark side to it, too, and a shocking revelation from both of their pasts compels Atsushi to pull away from Mei. The devastating separation then unleashes a wave of misfortune upon Mei: the death of a loved one, drug addiction and domestic violence. As circumstances seek to take control of her life, Mei struggles to maintain her faith in the tenuous thread of destiny that will reunite her with her true love.

Matsuoka is a teacher at a culinary school. One day, a student, Tashiro, says something strange during the lesson: “There’s a noise, it’s like a chime. Someone is sending me a message.” The people running the school warn him that Tashiro’s a little odd, but Matsuoka isn’t bothered by it at all and continues treating him normally. However, on another day, Tashiro says, “Half of my brain has been replaced with a machine,” and takes drastic action to prove it. Some days after the incident with Tashiro, Matsuoka is teaching a female student, Akemi. Matsuoka continues teaching unenthusiastically but when she complains that a whole chicken leaves her feeling uncomfortable, something incomprehensible overtakes him. Both at the school and at home, a strange dread begins to undulate in his ordinary existence…
