Toji, a manager of a food section in a medium-sized department store, has to put up with a tough boss that makes every day a real struggle. But things start to look up for him though when he meets a pretty elevator girl named Nao who is. Just as he is starting to enjoy a new-found happiness at work, a new account manager from an advertising agency visits Toji's division, and it is none other than Toji's ex-girlfriend from university, Makoto. Toji is surprised to see her again but Makoto treats him as if she has never met him before. Now dealing with a tough job and caught in the middle of a jealous Nao and Makoto who dumped him, things couldn't get much worse for Toji!

Farhad and Mahi hail from completely different economic and cultural backgrounds. Farhad becomes part of the working crew as a guard when he finds out Mahi hails from a very rich and influential family. Not only can he not talk with her and he can’t even see her. Another female servant, Sajal, who works there, falls in love with him, but he rejects her. Farhad doesn’t mention his intention with his close friend that he becomes with while staying there. Mahi is getting married to another Rich person and Farhad can not bear the news. He tries to talk with her, but Mahi continuously rejects him. He isn't able to take the rejection. According to Farhaad, he can reject others, but a girl can't reject him. Although Mahi has already rejected him, he continues to disturb Mahi and make her guilty for not reciprocating his love. Mahi starts to think about him due to her guilt. Farhad is getting ready to leave the place after Mahi tries to break his heart by telling him that she needs a rich guy when infact she wanted to save his life from her family out of humanity. Turns out Farhad fell under the train and is now dead. The news have been broken to the family. But little do they know while they are getting ready for Mahi’s wedding Mahi faints to the news. Mahi’s nikkah and ruksathi take place but during the wedding procession, Taimoor is shot on the way to Multan and dies. Mahi is eventually persuaded to marry Taimoor's elder brother, Sikandar. This is the start of Farhad's curse and Mahi will now lead a life of trials and tribulations.

The story begins with how his parents met (episodes 1-3), then tells his trials as an adolescent (episodes 4-8), proceeds to relate his rise to prominence (episodes 9-23) and reveals the secret behind Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre (episode 23), and ends with the confluence of Wuji's love life, the Martial Arts sects' long standing grudges, and cruel fate.

The 44th NHK Taiga Drama is about the life of Minamoto no Yoshitsune (源 義経) (1159 - May_17, 1189) was a late Heian and early Kamakura general of the Minamoto clan of Japan. Yoshitsune was the ninth son of Minamoto no Yoshitomo. His older brother Minamoto no Yoritomo founded the Kamakura shogunate.

The drama follows the story of a man, Choi Suk Bong, who believes that he is actually the son of a rich father and heir to a chaebol group. He meets Lee Shin Mi, who is actually a chaebol heir but acts nothing like one, with her scrimping and frugal ways. Although they get off to a rocky start, with her help, he struggles towards his goal of attaining wealth.
