Yamazaki Tetsuro (Oizumi Yo), an elite salaryman with Yotsui Corporation, returns to his hometown of Midorihara for the first time in years when his childhood friend, Kumazawa Kenji (Hirayama Koji), invites him to the class reunion. However, he can hardly recognise the Midorihara that he arrives at. The local town is experiencing a cash crunch. Tetsuro is asked by Kenji and others to rebuild Midorihara. He makes up his mind, resigns from his company and assumes the post of Midorihara’s mayor. Midorihara continued to inject money into financially unviable public work projects since the bubble era and now in debt to the tune of 15 billion yen. Tetsuro’s plan to save the town is to build a theme park for the elderly. It is an unprecedented proposal that Kamata Takezo (Emoto Akira), a senior town councilor, challenges. Tetsuro plunges ahead with transforming Midorihara into a ‘Platina Town’ where the elderly can live as they like, even as he faces a whirl of ulterior motives from proponents and opponents of the plan.

Xiong Ruoxi is a talented painter who possesses an excellent memory. However, she was arrested for drawing a painting of the Li family's mysterious picture book. While escaping, she accepts a well-paid order; which requires her to sneak into the Li manor to draw a painting of the mysterious "Four Lohan". Xiong Ruoxi was sent to serve Li Hongbin, the young master of Li manor who is rumored to be cruel and abusive. However, she somehow accidentally spends the night with him. While attempting to escape, she was caught and had no choice but to lie about being pregnant with Li Hongbin's child. Li Hongbin also went along with the lie, as he wanted to escape from an arranged marriage with the daughter of Song family. Thus, the two became a fake couple; but along with time, began to fall in love with each other. Together, they deal with the different factions of the Li family who tries hard to expose Xiong Ruqi's identity; and at the same time deal with the Song family who is trying to steal the Yunyao Yuntiehu from the Li family. From her mission, Xiong Ruoxi also discovers a secret; which helps solve the crisis's of the Yunyao, and also exterminates the traitors of the Li family.

Due to an accident, Sakura Hiraga gave up on her dream. She is now married and her husband runs a hair salon. They live in a luxurious penthouse apartment. Her life seems glamorous and she is envied by everyone. What everyone does not know is that Sakura Hiraga is abused physically and verbally by her husband. She is unable to leave her situation. Sakura Hiraga considers herself a goldfish in a fishbowl. One day, due to a goldfish, she meets a man.
